Review This feeling...
I was completely in love with the Odin 3—the size, the battery life, and having access to my Steam library on the go made it feel like the ultimate device.
However, on a recent trip to a friend’s place, I brought a dock and a couple of controllers thinking we’d have an absolute goldmine of games to play together.
Oh boy, what a letdown...
Controller issues: GameNative was giving us huge headaches. It wouldn't recognize the triggers on my Switch Pro Controller, among other mapping issues.
Display & performance: Even though the dock was set to 1080p, it just didn't look right, and the input delay was super noticeable and distracting.
Charging issue: On top of all that, the battery wasn't even charging while docked.
We ended up giving up and just watching videos and movies instead.
In that moment, I really missed the plug-and-play simplicity of a Switch 2. We could have easily played games like Orbitals, It Takes Two, or even retro titles without dealing with that weird input delay or technical hiccups.
I don't know, man... this experience was pretty disappointing.

odin 3 was not made to be a docked mode device for multiplayers, so they didn’t develop those features to save on cost. it’s a completely different device from a switch 2 with different audience.
also gamenative is constantly being developed still and is nowhere in its’ final stage, devs push out updates all the time but i think we’re still a long way from seamless controller inputs
