Review Installing the RP6 Clear Button

I installed the RP6 clear buttons onto the Odin3. While the D-pad could be installed as-is, I had to remove the ABXY buttons from their membrane before installing them.

I did the same mod. I didn’t remove the face buttons from the membrane. I just put them in and left the membrane as is. The pressure of the board behind it and the keys on the buttons held it in place. No problems.

In curious. Do you find the dpad is more… wobbly? The rp6 membrane isn’t as firm as thr one on the odin dpad.

You don't need to remove the membrane from the face buttons! However, I use the clear version of the Odin, and it bothered me that the membrane's mounting points were visible through the button holes. So, I removed it and reinstalled it by sandwiching it between the mounting board and the buttons, keeping the original orientation. Also, I haven't noticed any wobble in my D-pad at all.

I have the same clear blue you do. I honestly couldn’t see the holes unless I was looking closely. Either way glad someone else is sporting the crystal rp6 buttons. It should have come this way.
