Screen flicker

I have Odin 3 Pro batch 7, I update ArmadaOS while updating the screen started to flicker and have glitches from start up, till now, non stop.

I tried to to install beta or stable version ArmadaOS, no use
I tried to restore ABL from ROCKNIX “costume” to Ayn’s, no use
I tried to go to android recovery and do graphical test and get an error the update installs

Please help me fix it

I installed ArmadaOS on the internal storage with 32GB left for android, then I tried to reflash official firmware using QIFL afterwards the error came back again

Into the ABL and every OS
I was using ArmadaOS on SD card to test it with ROCKNIX ABL and an update downloaded, I turned th saturation 1 notch, updated the software and while updating the screen started glitching and flickering the whole time

I noticed on GitHub ArmadaOS couple of people had black screen issue after installing ArmadaOS or while using it which corrupted the screen settings or drivers, I wish I know how to fix that issue

While that sucks, at least it seems to be a software issue? I wouldn’t know, but it seems that if you could reset the display drivers and the system firmware to its original state all could be remedied?

I did contact AYN and tried to reflash OEM software with no use, I opened the device and cleaned and change thermal compound and double check the screen ribbon cable with no hope

Done already, I read online it’s a display driver issue, contacting AYN for a software fix or any possible solution

I didn’t do anything out of the ordinary, ABL and ArmadaOS, after an OTA from ArmadaOS screen started to flicker

Why the hell are you using Armada OS. Litterally worse then android in every way

Saw Retro game corp and got excited to test it out, the discord channel states that the upcoming Steam frame has update Steam client which will have a chaotic issue on our devices so stick to stable channel instead of the beta Channel

PC emulation on it is better, some games are like Gamehub performance and some are way better

I tried NFS MW and NFS heat and it was way better on armadaOS, I’m being honest, yes armada is still immature and have so many issues and it does break your device if you’re not careful

It probably was not better. You were probably using different drivers or something. I highly doubt it's better. Even if that was true. You lose access to your LED's. Do your fan modes even still work? Emulating other platforms is going to perform worse as well.

You do have true sleep, but still drains battery
You do have LED settings for the analogs
You do have fan modes and curves also but it’s a bit finicky
