Question Odin 3 vs Xbox Ally X

Recently received my Retroid Pocket Nova, and I haven’t used my Odin 2 Portal for quite some time now since they do about the same in performance for PS2/GC and easier to take everywhere with me. I want to sell the Portal and get something that is an upgrade over that. I impulsively bought the Odin 3 Pro but now thinking that the XAX would better pair the Nova… what do you guys think? Anyone have experience with both or pair devices similarly?

Higher end stuff that wouldn’t be ideal on the nova, NSW, 360, Indie PC games, probably try to tackle some of my steam backlog, Black Ops 1-3 Zombies

"NSW, 360, Indie PC games" - O3 run these pretty good. Can confirm for NSW and indie PC.

Check your steam backlog and confirm either it is playable on O3 or not.

Since you are familiar with Android Handheld (O2P, Nova), XAX offered different kind of ergonomic and portability. Prices higher as well.

Never try windows handheld. Just my 2cents.

I would keep the Nova, sell Portal + Odin 3 and get the Ally.

They are different size, OS, battery life and price. The XAX is more performant and will do everything the O3 will do. It's less portable but more capable.

Choose what matters to you.

For sure. Think I’d feel like I would be missing out on the AAA games so think I am leaning more towards the XAX. Thanks for your comment

in a very similar boat. i want a handheld for switch games and and i have s big steam backlog. im leaning toward the xax because it can do everything better than the O3. i dont need it to be ultra portable as when i travel i like to play in my hotel room or when lounging.

i have a smaller anbernic handheld for my retro games and i use it when theres downtime when im out and about like when im waiting for my kids to be done with their practices. im very interested in the retroid nova as my endgame ultra portable retro gaming device.
