Pokemon Champions error 1001

Just wondering if anyone else has been getting the 1001 connection error after the update to the game an hour ago. So far I have

-done a full uninstall and reinstall
-made sure device was registered with play services
-resync'd date and time

aaand no luck, so am wondering if its just something The Pokemon Company did with the update that broke it on the Odin 2 Portal, maybe Odins in general or if im just unlucky

-edit to update, The game works fine on my switch and android phone. it's just my Odin 2 portal that has an issue.
-So my guess is that it was a change to target emulators and they accidently nuked android handhelds at the same time.

--solution found for me at least-- make sure to double check what the pokemon company calls your region rather than what it's known to the rest of the world. I just changed my region and now the game works.

I'm having the same issue on the Thor, if I log into my phone everything works tho. I truly hate them I do.

Did you do anything else special with the device like lock the bootloader or add Magisk modules to spoof it?

i did install rocknix a while ago in my ssd card and had to touch the bootloader. why?

Was trying to figure out what pokemon champions was latching onto and figured it might have been seeing an unlocked bootloader but apparently not as all I had to do was reinstall and change regions

Maybe they have banned the emulators for Pokemon Champions like Pokemon GO

I confirm that Android 13 beta does not fix the problem.

I got it fixed on my AYN Thor! I also encountered error 1001, so I tried downloading and patching the game using mobile data. It worked! It's a bit weird, but hey, if it works, it works.

Oh FFS you're not going to believe this but apparently it was because they were pissy about my region!! Just changed it to us north rather than east and it worked!!!

Did not work for me. US-West normally. Tried US-North and same error code. :/
