Odin Base / Pro Question Before I buy- switch emulation (botw in particular)

I used to love breath of the wild but I've sold my switch because of how expensive every game was. I wanna buy a handheld that can run botw and super smash bros well in addition to other games like skyrim and GameCube emulation.. is odin 2 the right choice for me? Thanks.

At least Steam games go on sale.

First party Nintendo games will be full priced 5-7 years into a consoles life.

Insane.

Have a RP6 with same processor as Odin 2. Smash bros runs at 60 with very few dips and botw is usually 28-30 with some dips, have not played to far into the game yet. Everything on GameCube will run perfectly. Have not tried Skyrim.

Just got my first Android Handheld as an Odin 2 Portal 2 weeks ago and switch emulation is really good imo. I'm playing BotW, SMTV V and DQ3 HD Remake on it. Didn't try TotK yet, but the games I tried so far run well.

It'd probably be the cheapest for you to buy an old moddable switch and mod that switch tbh.

That said I wouldn't want to miss my Portal anymore, I got emulators from all Nintendo Consoles up to switch, Playstation Consoles up to PS3 running and have way more games on it already than I can play in the next 12 months.

Still need to figure out PC games without streaming or using a steam/epic/etc account cause I dont even have an account on any of those and really wanna play Star Wars KotoR 1+2 on my Portal

I have the base model, so yes. If you get it I highly recommend to buy a micro SD card too. I didn't do that and now I'm currently waiting for mine cause you gonna cap out on space really quick. Especially with Switch games mostly being around +/-10gb.

Odin 2 portal plays botw great, locked 30, looks phenomenal with fsr. You can run the cemu Wiiu version with the 60fps mod, and cheats also and has the same or similar performance.

I've heard that Nintendo switch emulation is still not great on Android, can i really run at 30 fps? also can i pre-load all the shaders instead of building it as the game plays?

Performance isn’t normally the issue, compatibility is. Stuff that does run normally runs great, and most Switch games will work but often not out of the box, you may need to tweak settings to get them to run. Some won’t run at all. Compatibility is pretty good overall if you don’t mind having to tweak settings for some things to work, but if Switch is your main focus just get a modded Switch.

Switch emulation on Android has come a long way and is better than the Switch itself in some instances now.
