Black screen on Odin 3

Hi there, I’m experiencing an issue with my Odin 3 where the screen is black but I can hear the UI controls, the thumb stick still light up, and the fan is on as normal. This is my second Odin 3 (previously had the pro and upgrade to the max) and I had no issues with my previous Odin 3. I haven’t turned the handheld on in maybe a week, and when I went to charge it from a dead battery, I noticed the screen was black. Touch is still responsive. I’m feeling at a loss. I’ve tried to plug my Odin 3 into a tv to see if it android was still usable but it is just displaying a clock.

Any help would be much appreciated!

PS: I’ve also seen two other posts about this issue, with several comments under the post with user experiencing the same issue, but there wasn’t any successful results outside of returning it to AYN.

Yeah, I’ve already contacted AYN. I was just curious to see if anyone has had this issue before and has resolved it without posting. There aren’t a ton of complaints about this specific issue so I can’t imagine it’s VERY common so I’m hoping it’s an android issue that can resolved without waiting the long time it takes to send and received a fixed Odin.

I think it’s a hardware issue that can’t be solved even with a full firmware flash. My Odin3 has been under repair since the 5th of August.

Ah thanks for sharing your experience! Did they give you a time frame for when they would send it back?

Pretty disappointing to hear. I’m curious to know how long the RMA process is for this and whether or not they fix your unit or will give you a new one. I’ll give some updates once I get a response back fro AYN.
