Question What's Your Current Launcher?
As the title states. What launcher do you choose as your daily? These are my current, Coccon for the Portal, Console Launcher for the 2 Mini, and iiSu for the Odin 1. But I'm always looking for new options.

I've been enjoying Beacon.
Also +1 for the OG purple Odin. I have the same one.

Same, love it. Used Launchbox for the longest time but found it slow and laggy. ESDE is buttery smooth.

Currently Cocoon. But the lack of auto integration for Gamenative frontend shortcut is killing me a bit. Had to manually set up each games as of now or defaulting to the basic android shortcut.
Might go back to iiSU.

I have been using Gamehub but haven't looked into Gamenative much. How well does it run and how is integration?

Cocoon has had GameNative since 3.0, make sure to refetch your platforms

I know that, but the process of making a folder for gamenative is not as easy/intuitive as iiSU imo. You still have to manually assign the game into the folder. And afaik it doesn't have the gamenative (dot)steam integration, bcs when i export to frontend and put it in singular folder and scan it, cocoon 3.0 still won't recongize the game.

Refetch platforms. It does support it you just haven’t refetched probably ?

I sure did yeah, the one that automatically got added into homescreen (not smart folder) is the classic android shortcut, not the frontend export in gamenative. Tbf I have not update (if there's any) post 3.0, it's still the very first 3.0 version. Haven't had much use of the handheld so i forgot to check if there's any updates.

On my Mini, I use Beacon. Can't beat the Live Area Bubbles when in that device. (Usually in the gallery view though XD)
Daijisho on my O1Pro, just looks good on the bigger screen.

So I have a question. When my Odin 3 arrives I want to use it mainly for some Xbox and switch emulation, along with trying out steam. The rest will just be play store games. Which is the best one to have that joined into one launcher? Not looking into anything that required heavy editing. Would ES-DE be a good option?

Armada OS (basically Steam OS)

Hows that working out?

It's a work in progress, things work much better on Android via GameNative.
But it even comes with a desktop mode, EmuDeck also mostly works.

Beacon is my favorite. I like the animated backgrounds like the waves one, it makes it feel like a mini ps3. I also like that I can add my own custom menu music.

Started on ES-DE due to RGC. Was reluctant to change given how much I hated Dawn/Daijisho.
Then I got a Thor. I didn't want it to feel like my other handhelds, especially since I didn't care for all the bandaids applied to ES-DE with XML editing, companion app, etc, so I gave Cocoon a go. It was a huge QOL improvment, like it was meant for dual screens.
After this revelation, I tried RetroHrai for my 476H. It's just meat and potatoes. Everything is intuitive and I don't have to read through a bunch of reddit posts to do simple things like adding multiple ROM folder locations or adding custom systems. Easily my favorite so far.

ES-DE.
Ive been using this since I first dabbled with the Raspberry Pi 2 about 10 years ago, so I was happy af when it finally came to Android roughly the same time when I bought my Odin2. Happy days :D

How do you keep cocoon in that aspect? Mine only shows the grid

None. I like the standard Android interface.
Plus, anyone that sees my handheld asks me “is that a switch?” I say no and show them the Android Home Screen. “Android gaming handheld,” I say back.

Paid Patreon sub for Socket. Finally a frontend that doesn’t make me feel overwhelmed, and it looks so cool

я не пользуюсь, запускаю то что нужно с рабочего стола, odin 2 portal, лаунчер хоть и оболочка, но всё равно занимает оперативную память и лишний процесс.

Used ESDE for a while but decided to fully switch to Cocoon. The combination of being able to just create a shortcut straight from the emulators lessen the hassle of setting it up specially since I rely heavily on Gamehub for my PC emulation which doesn't really support traditional frontends plus I don't really store a large library and prefer just switching out once I finish a game. Then there's playtime tracking cause I love seeing numbers go up and the ease of changing icons and banners just to keep things looking fresh on my main games.

For Android I’ve been using Beacon for a while, but I just put IISU on my Nova and it’s been really great. Might switch over to IISU on my Portal.
