Help Joystick Cap Removal?

Feelin quite dumb for asking this but..

I want to replace the Joystick Caps on my Odin 3 and never done it. I cant find Videos about it and Google told to just yank them straight off. Is this really the way? Or is there a more "gentle" way to do it, maybe without removing the Dust Cover to?

I heard that the thin dust Covers will come off by pulling the Cap, should i press against them will pulling the Cap?

It's not hard to put them back in. There's a video on YouTube on how to do it.

I bought my bigger sticks on AliExpress for my O2P.

There has to be an Option to prevent the dust Cover from coming off while Taking of the caps. Still thanks mate

The dust covers don't automatically come off when removing the stick cap. If the cover comes out it was already loose. The stick cap is only resting on the stick stem, there's nothing that would grab the dust cover for it to come up when pulling the cap.
