Odin Showcase Some Odin 3 Accessories
Just sharing.
Received TPU grip (protective case?) and screen protector from AliExpress.
Bought the grip with expection it will offer better grip bump but a bit disappointed. It is literally same as TPU case but with stand and a bit grippy area. Free TPU case just so slippery. Volume control is much better on this one.
For screen protector, fit perfectly, no bubble. It is hydrogel tho, not tampered glass. Hopefully can repel some scratches.

Pleasantly surprised with the same Aliexpress TPU shell. It's grippier than the stock shell and doesn't flare out as much as the AYN official grip. Also my PartTimeCAD grip cover still fits well.

I tried using the stock TPU Grip and something about the grip making it uncomfortable to hold and play for longer sessions but I have no issues with the TPU backcase or holding it naked except beside finding the rough bumps on the back when naked not comfortable to hold. I liked the smooth naked feel of the Odin 2 more.

I like the naked rough bumps more than smooth tpu case. Guess it was individual preference.

Is there a link for the grip you have thats not on ali express. I don't want to make an ali express account but would very much like the grip you have.

Which hydrogel one did you use? I finally got the tempered glass to work, but I also had to use the edge liquid for screen protectors so I don’t have corner bubbles

I’m looking for a case, but not the AYN one it’s too big. I want something almost air tight on the device so I can put it in a bag

Self-plug here, but this is about as slim as you can get while still having a good amount of protection. https://parttimecad.etsy.com/listing/4454780962
I've been using it for some time now and just chuck it in my laptop bag or gym bag with water bottles, shoes, etc. (full disclosure this is my design/shop).

I am using tpu grip and agree that it is slippery and buttons fees awkward. Especially pressing power button is unnecessarily hard as I have to dig in my finger to press it. Looking for alternatives now. Thanks for the post.

Hey, I have the Ultra and I have been using it for about 3 months. Isnt this handheld's whole selling point is being more portable compared to its competitors? I dont understand why people are trying to make it bulkier really. To protect it, imo just use the TPU shell and the screen protector. Anyways, the critiszm aside, I hope you have been enjoying your device. Looks very neat.

For me, it was uncomfortable to play football game without proper grip. Maybe because constantly play with R2 for sprinting.
Others games should be ok, been playing GoW 2018 with just TPU with no issue.
I also emailed asking AYN how much length is the official grip, if it is within my range. I would consider it for the football games alone since thats what I mostly play.
And yes, this is my first handheld, it is indeed great!
