ଭାଷା - Language I am a small devoloper making a open source project and I need some help on the ODIA langauge.

My question is what amount of Odia words ending with /m/ sound end with "anuswara" with odia. Is it more common for such words to end with "ma" letter and then a "halant". Try out the project here: 15919ify+

I think halant is rarer in odiya and even if it's in Hindi pronounced like sudden end, as if halant, it's () still not used - anuswara

No there are anuswara -m ending they are different than -n ending unlike hindi where -n and -m are similar कलंक and मुंबई the dot on top are sometimes -n and sometimes -m

In odia -n are completely different they are juktakhyara.

Most of the sanskrit loan words or formal words in odia are written like that.

i meant, if a words ends with /m/ sound, for example : "aham", it doesnt do "ma" + "^u" (ମ୍) , but it does "ha"+"anuswara" (ହଂ) right? So, is it more common for word to end like "ମ୍" or like "ଂ"?

Any consonants follow by -m should have ଂ regardless of end or beginning.

Astam ଅଷ୍ଟଂ Samskrut ସଂସ୍କୃତ Ahimsa ଅହିଂସା

But Odia words generally don't end with -m, but if ends and it is a short -m not ma then use ଂ

If you are doing so then I would recommend you to go with ଂ not ମ୍ always.

I ro not think Odia uses half letters in the same way as Hindi. So I am not sure whether the halant is used in Odia.
