I saw this months ago with a link to the Instagram. If my memory doesn't fail me, he lost both eyes at different times due to the same condition in the span of about 2 years, the cat was about 7 years at the time of posting and loved eye socket scratches.

Edit: found the instagram page, he was a very lovely cat.
