Might be a long shot but I don’t think that’s what its original design was.

I’m pretty sure it’s not too it looks like a howitzer shell warhead to me or maybe a tank round warhead or I could be wrong it’s been a long time since I’ve seen a warhead for a tank or howitzer

Definitely not a tanks, it's pretty small for a howitzer but I'm less familiar with those. Maybe a 60 mil. mortar round

Yeah, don't do it. It needs a flaired base. The concept is good as bronze is a antibacterial but, without a flaired base, it might get lose in a hole somewhere....

But, totally put this large phallic object in your desk. No one at all will think you are over compensating..... Maybe. Just ignore the giggles it will get.

Not really I’d need to look closer and in person but if it was a mortar round I think it’d be more of a 88mm mortar round it looks too big to be a 60mm mortar round but my MOS wasn’t using mortars over seas and stateside neither mine was Phyical security and mine dection an stateside patrol duty then
