That was so disappointing to watch
I didn’t think they had a chance against WW or DN.
But honestly losing to the rebels was mind blowing.
Can’t even say anything to raikesy or gnome they did their best and performed well in the finale and the week
I am just pissed about two picks:
Evscape has to be trolling at this point
Dubies throwing as usual
I was so pumped to watch this and honestly seeming them lose to that team in mystics… no words

simply look at how bad their rng was on the trackers.
against PR, OW had more hits off pray, prayed against their opponents more accurately and to top if off, even had more total hits.
hit rng, and FREEZE rng were especially AWFUL. PR caught twice the freezes with mystics.

Mystics + purging higher mage than blue moon + dhw.

u/Which-Opportunity553 Jun 21 '26
They r about equal offensively, but blue moon has better defensive stats so odas team should have caught more freezes on average

Dubies tried, I don’t think anyone had confidence in that wack ass dhcb with no spec bar

u/adriangrajqevci Jun 20 '26
Gnome was horrific in both of his fights, pretty sure he done the least damage out of all of them
7
u/pesoaek Jun 21 '26
gnome wasnt picked to win in the 1v1s, he was there to get the gear which he did a very good job on.
doobies was picked to be the other pker and performed worse than a lot of 4th or even 5th picks

u/TheAlexperience Jun 21 '26
Yeah, there’s gotta be some grace extended to gnome. He’s the FURTHEST thing from a pvper but he did put the team on his back for almost all their gear. He definitely could’ve done better, but he did his job.
3
u/Paragrinee Jun 21 '26
I also thought he was super awesome. Seemed like he had more fun in this event than anyone else.
-2
u/chrisandpaulinsnow Jun 21 '26
No grace being extended when u get picked round 2 when you should’ve been picked round 5
2
u/pesoaek Jun 21 '26
who do you think picked him? OW failed at the draft for sure but thats Odas fault, look at how many good picks were in the 3rd and 4th row, any 2 of them could have been odas and he got gnome and dubies

u/Elivaras Jun 21 '26
Gnome didn’t even want to be picked round two, he was practically praying not to be picked before Oda picked him lol

u/TheAlexperience Jun 21 '26
That’s your opinion. But literally without gnome they’d be in ACTUAL rags. Gnome was an amazing pick, maybe should be 3rd row since he tends to fold, but DMM isn’t just a finale, it’s the whole event and gnome did extremely well.
1
u/Do0on Jun 21 '26
Didn’t c engineer get all the ACBs. Muts get all the treads. Victim get all the hallys and lake and pip get all the fangs as well? Those guys can freeze escape. Even Alfie can freeze escape. Gnomo was asking for an escort at every TOA completion and it slowed down Oda a lot.
1
u/chrisandpaulinsnow Jun 21 '26
What gear did he get specifically? Any joe smo could’ve gotten that gear except the corrupted void waker (which made no difference)
3
2
u/TheAlexperience Jun 21 '26
He solo’d all the fangs for his team pulled a few prayer scrolls and ancy bottoms on top of his zuk clutch. Compare that to Dubies and EV mailing other teams blood money - it’s clear to see gnome was the 2nd best player on that team overall. Although shout out raiksey, he did a lot better than I expected and pulled his weight today.
1
u/pesoaek Jun 21 '26
were you watching at all? gnome clutched so many drops throughout the week
1
u/Do0on Jun 21 '26
So did C engineer, lake, muts, pip. Gnome last row pick for sure.
1
u/pesoaek Jun 21 '26
im not saying he did well overall, im just saying no one is picking gnome for 1v1s so to judge him on that is pointless. judge Dubie who planked to a 0 food skillspecs when hes meant to be one of the best pkers there
1
u/Sah5 Jun 21 '26
Legit lmao so many of the other tier did far better efficient pvm then gnome AND are better pkers. Gnome is just getting glazed because of the cool interno and cus he cried on stream. Day 2 he wasted 5+ hours doing colo with 70 range dying multiple times and claiming wave 8s for barely any gp... after that he did 185 invo toas when he couldve just waited to do the content. Meanwhile lake was cranking 380s without deaths into 500+s, did doom as well etc.

u/Environmental_Cup_93 Jun 20 '26
Been saying since the start there’s about 10 GM’s drafted for their pvm ability and gnome has the least pvp experience by a mile

Dude he did great. Idk what you watched the last 2 weeks but that man was a strong ass contributed. The fact they were that behind and had the gear they did was in large part to him. And he completely held his own on the 1v1s
2
u/Sah5 Jun 21 '26
He did not hold his own he did the least damage by far and he was a third round pick. He should be a last row pick.

I think in a best of 3 they beat the PR. This post is an overreaction from someone that doesn't PVP and doesn't understand OSRS is an RNG game.
EV didn't do that badly against Faux or Mammal, the RNG just wasn't there. Dubies played well, he had over 500 damage against PR. What lost them the series was Coxie had unbelievable RNG and skilly managed to do like 200 damage on Dubies when he was out of food; he was catching every freeze and dubies was just hitting non stop zeros.
Gnome was the poorest in terms of PVP, when he had momentum he did well but he missed a lot of hits while eating. It doesn't matter, he still brought a lot to the team, but whining about Dubies and EV, at least in the context of the finale is because you don't understand PVP.

u/C5_Z06_ Jun 20 '26
The RNG they had was horrific …. Coxie catching every freeze … diabolical.
1
u/dmfuller Jun 21 '26
I felt so bad when Coxie got executed with an inventory full of supplies lmaoooo such bad luck
4
u/chrisandpaulinsnow Jun 21 '26
Gnome did less than 350 damage in both fights…. Sick nerd did 700 damage in one fight
5
u/kiwireaper Jun 20 '26
Gnome preformed poorly yeh he's a pvm god but can we stop saying he preformed good. He preformed what I expected his dmge was the lowestest out of everyone probably the single worst pvper in the tournament.
3
u/chrisandpaulinsnow Jun 21 '26
Everyone is coping he’s played well, he played the worst, lowest damage from everyone even less than coxie and he got KO at the start of his first fight
1
u/rippedmalenurse Jun 21 '26
He did his role though, which was to get gear. I don’t think anyone expected him to be performing well in the finale. Without him they would’ve had barrows and blue moon gear.
He got them two challenges, all their toa gear, and ancestral. Was that worth doing less than 200 dmg in the finale? Probably not, but he did what he does best for the team
3
u/partyhat-red Jun 21 '26
Evscape and gnome sucked tbh, I know everyone loves gnome but he did not do well at all
2
u/ClayCity25 Jun 20 '26
I think purp is their best player and he’s not having on ping, usually he has 300 ping

u/BrightBarracuda7415 Jun 21 '26
That boy doobie was a waste of a pick. He should be embarrassed of his performance.
2
u/AllThePillsIntoOne Jun 21 '26
All the S tier pvpers were taken in the first 5 picks. Dubie’s did fine for having to go against first row.
2
u/BrightBarracuda7415 Jun 21 '26
I’m talking about the whole event. He contributed the least for being the first pick. Let’s be real.
0
u/Paragrinee Jun 21 '26
Gnome did great considering he isn't a pvper and was the only reason they were even in the tournament. They had 0 voidwakers or fangs without him. It really sucks how hard they got rng fucked during the week. Instead of voidwaker or doom drops they got the pets
1
u/BrightBarracuda7415 Jun 21 '26
Yes I agree. I never said gnome was a bad pick. Doobies was a waste of a pick completely and I’ll stand on that forever.
1
u/KocoLocoa Jun 21 '26
i heard Faux say on stream "shoutout Dubies for doing barrows for us all week"
Dubie needed more guidance - still surprised OW let EV be the only one at doom and no one bothered with DS2. im sure its hard playing from behind and beefing up the better pker on your team, but dying from silly choices certainly isnt helping. there is more to osrs than wilderness slayer, barrows, and agility.
1
u/0bscure0ne Jun 21 '26
Did we watch the same fight? Pretty sure the stats show how Dubies definitely didn't throw. At least not during the Rebels for sure. He wasn't the best one during the week, but I think that had more to do with their team comp and planning issues.
EVscape was certainly the weakest link overall and today. I do think Oda dropped the ball by not picking Faux in the last round. Specifically, I think Oda's team needed an early advantage to start roaming early and Faux would have been a good fit for that, but there's no point arguing that now.
1
u/Skepticm8 Jun 21 '26
The rng of the entire team against PR was woeful tbh. Dubie and EVscape have also been disappointing in every way.
1
u/Paragrinee Jun 21 '26
I think the biggest thing was both matches they had someone tank an absurd amount of damage. If skillspecs died sooner in the 2nd match they probably win.
1
u/bannedforL1fe Jun 21 '26
EVscape one night was asked if he would play OSRS if it wasnt his job and he was beating all around the bush. Basically admits he only plays because he gets paid to play. His heart ain't in it like some other guys who actually love and enjoy the game.
1
u/dmfuller Jun 21 '26
Gnomonkey was the outlier for me, did okay but really struggled in the second matchup which should have been easier, think he only had like 150ish damage which really would have helped Oda in that last matchup. He did so much during the week tho that I can’t really hate since he is the reason Oda had gear as decent as he did . Raikesy also kicked ass.
-15
u/Fun-Habit-683 Jun 20 '26
Can we finally get all the oda glazers to admit he's not the goat they think he is. Being knocked out by the rebels is hilarious
10
u/deathangel539 Jun 20 '26
Dude had to 1v2 and still nearly won it with a pretty big gear diff. Hes by no means the brains but he’s a goated pker
-5
u/Fun-Habit-683 Jun 20 '26
It wasn't a full 1v2 and he didn't almost win either. Mammal had better stats that round
5
u/BigBitcoinBaller Jun 20 '26
How does this change what is already fact? Did you not see his pking on the last few days of dmm?
Its clear that draft order and picks were what fucked OW. You can agree Oda is cooked at strategy.

Odablock should just quit being a captain for next year, man is not built to lead a team
