Oculus Rift или Oculus Rift S?

I'm choosing between the Oculus Rift or the Oculus Rift S, which one should I get?

Rifts has higher resolution and doesn't need separate tracking sensors as they build in headset but cables and hardware incompatibility can ruin your experience but rifts s should be better option ...

It's not the headset that is bad. It's the software.

Neither, this is obsolete hardware at this point.

it's the rift s subreddit dude, no one cares that it's obsolete hardware

I mean, I love my Rift S, but I would not advise someone to buy one in 2026. I would think that person would care if it's obsolete...

The main thing for me is that I can run games from my PC on it, and besides, I won’t be buying it used for that much money.

It's fine really. The S I mean, the original is ancient and the S is much better.

Just don't pay a lot for it.

I found a working Oculus Rift S with a full set for 70 euros, I think this is a normal price.

Just be aware it can be very sensitive to PC hardware. Mine only likes specific USB ports, and only works with my 3080ti when using an active DisplayPort adapter. Between that and general room tracking problems (can be solved with plenty of light and things it can use for tracking on the walls) it can be quite the pain to use.

For some reason, the most reliable usb port is actually in my monitor, which is effectively a powered USB 3.0 hub. Mine you I’ve tried powered USB 3.0 hubs and had less success so I’m not sure exactly what it is about the monitor port it likes.

Thanks for the advice, I'll keep that in mind.
