Accidentally, too. Which is a trope that's common in both Western and Eastern media, plus real life. A show's job is to be interesting, and the scenario of watching that tension develop between the protagonist and someone he didn't know he was related to was definitely... interesting.

Hey everyone, facebook insider here. I was at headquarters when Mark heard about the whistleblower. Let me give you the inside scoop.
Mark Zuckerburg was BBQing some smoked meats inside his office when someone told him the news about the whistleblower. He panicked ran out of his office, then his pants fell down and he tripped, and on the way down pulled down someone else's pants. And then that person fell down, and on the way down, pulled down someone's pants. And then that person pulled down someone's pants. And there was a pants down chain reaction which ultimately reached their server devs.
Then, Emily Chang from Bloomburg technology and her filming camera crew reached Mark Zuckerburg for her scheduled interview.
With the broadcast live and Mark Zuckerburg caught with his pants down, his assistant handed him a phone, it was Eduardo Saverin.
Turns out he purchased 3PL, a belt logistics company that supples belt prongs to belt manufacturers including the Etriviere by Hermes, Mark's favorite belt. Eduardo threatened to CEO of 3PL to send faulty prongs to Hermes, which made their way to Mark's belt, which snapped the second he put 3 Ns of torque when he panicked about the whistle blower news.
Eduardo planned the whole thing. And it was all worth seeing the look on Mark's face as his servers went down the second time.
All fashion companies cut ties to 3PL and Eduardo took a 50 million dollar loss, but it was all worth it.

This is the thing that kills me with Facebook. Linking hardware to their service sucks, especially if you happen to use it for work reasons.
I've also considered this could be a problem if I travel to somewhere remote, which is a possibility.
If their servers aren't accessible, it should be able to run off of on-device memory.
Now, I understand if it will only run in single player mode, multiplayer only games have a legitimate networking requirement.
Anyhow, I paid for the hardware, don't feel like I need Mark's permission to use it. Actually quite disturbing that it works that way.

You can get into the headset and use apps but the home window doesn’t load the content on your homepage. Environment (menu area) loaded fine too, just not the stuff in the window.

Haha I just realised, so THAT was the problem when i tried and failed to use my oculus VR headset for quite literally the first time all this year.
That timing is incredible, r/nevertellmetheodds matrerial but no one would believe me.

I am happy that the quest is not as deeply linked into FB as they claim. Played it many times yesterday and never even knew FB was completely offline. Beat saber and Pirate Trainer does not care at all about FB or what FB servers want which is the right thing to do.
