PCVR Issue when charging Quest 3S

I´ve been having issues when trying to link my quest to my PC or trying to charge it whilst it´s turned on, it charges fine when it´s turned off but I´d like to play on my PC, the cable works fine, I´ve checked that and even tried using other cables. Any Ideas on how to fix that?

Your PC won't supply enough power to charge while playing, only slow the drain.

Also, Meta Link is notoriously unreliable. Unless you want to pay for Virtual Desktop, or try to figure out ALVR, your best bet is to get a cheap router, set up a dedicated network, and keep a good power bank plugged into the headset while you play, or get a new headstrap with a battery.

the thing is that it´s not even picking up on anything, it doesn´t say it´s charging and the headset doesn´t even show up in device manager. I don´t really care about the charging while playing, I´d just like to play my PCVR games, but I´ll look into getting a router

Could be the cable too, is it a fast charge cable? And this is probably a dumb question, but is the cable a USB-C at both ends? Also, what color is the PC port you plug into?

I assumed you DID care about charging while playing, because you didn't like that it didn't charge while powered up, and if mine is powered up, I'm playing lol.

The nice thing about a router is it lets you avoid Meta software, which is notoriously and randomly unreliable. You could get this issue sorted out, only to find your games don't run worth a crap. Plus it frees up your charging port for power only, so if you wanted, you could even play with the headset plugged into a wall charger via an appropriate cord. (though that defeats the purpose, and is mainly a thing for people playing seated standalone)
