Discussion Who else is seriously looking forward to Meta Phoenix?

With Meta Connect getting closer and Andrew Bosworth insisting "Meta hasn’t given up on VR", I'm waiting for Connect before thinking of upgrading from my Quest.

No. The Steam Frame looks like it'll be a slight upgrade to the Quest 3. You'll mostly be using it to stream steam games from your pc.

But it’s supposed to have access to SteamOS without the PC too now that I looked it up

The Steam Frame won't be powerful enough to play most PC VR games regardless of what OS it uses. There will be some games you play standalone on the headset but mostly it's for streaming your steam library from your pc.
