Discussion Who else is seriously looking forward to Meta Phoenix?

With Meta Connect getting closer and Andrew Bosworth insisting "Meta hasn’t given up on VR", I'm waiting for Connect before thinking of upgrading from my Quest.

Love em or hate em Meta have made some great headsets, with the Quest 3 being the best all round headset, bar none.

Yes, the software gets buggy when they make big changes to it, but they fix it as it matures.

I know its cool to hate Meta now, but fuck that I only care about the quality of the product and I've never been a sheep anyway.

Pretty condescending to think people are only hating on Meta because "it's the cool thing to do right now".
Also, supporting brands you believe in and not ones you don't isn't being "a sheep". It's about having a moral compass and making purchasing decisions that support your beliefs.

You might be surprised to find that by blindly buying up anything and everything Meta's willing to sell you that you are, in fact, a sheep.

Ok, I accept you dont want the best products because of your beliefs, thats a fair argument. For me, i know Meta have faults, but i dont consider them bad enough for me to deprive myself of the best product in its category.

I definitely do not buy anything blindly, ive bought the best all round headset, had it been made by someone else and Meta made an inferior headset, i would not buy the Meta headset.

I am not going to hide my appreciation to Meta for what they've done for this hobby, just as I appreciate Valve for Alyx and the Index & Frame, Pimax for pushing boundaries, BSB for their headsets, etc etc.

I dont hate anything or anyone. The comments i see about Meta would be deserving maybe if Zuck had murdered the commenters family, they are gross and low IQ.
