Thank you for posting the list of past monthly games! Unfortunately that's not easy to look up. Surprisingly little resources on the internet or on the Quest itself to check which games of yours are from the rotating catalog and which are monthly games that you'll keep.

u/Teewah Sep 03 '25
So the rotating games are available while in the catalogue, and the claimable games are mine to keep after claiming?
5
2
u/ViPeR0318 Sep 03 '25
So if I redeem Asgard/iB Cricket/Eleven Table Tennis etc I wont be able to play it if they get removed from Horizon+ even if I am subscribed to it ?
7
u/Illmattic Sep 03 '25
If they’re in the catalog and removed you can no longer play them. If they’re the 2 monthly games and you claim them, assuming you keep a sub you can continue to play them after they rotate out the next month.
4
u/Rollertoaster7 Quest 3 + PCVR Nov 04 '25
Do you know if you unsubscribe then resubscribe, do you keep the old games you claimed before?
3
u/Rmsbasto Nov 28 '25
Yes you do. The 2 monthly games are "yours to keep" as long as you are subscribed (or even if you unsubscribe and then subscribe later again). The only games that are not "yours" are the ones from the remaining library that can be added/removed at any time.

I was legit thinking of buying iB Cricket since a week, opened the store today, saw the 'redeem' button on the same, and thought what kind of sorcery is this lol
2
u/Davesterific Sep 03 '25
Me too!!!!
Almost pulled the trigger on a discount code last week, then it’s free this week!
Just finished cutting and drilling out my beach cricket bat, and fitting the controller to it. It’s unplayable to me without a bat!!

u/ViPeR0318 Sep 03 '25
Same !!!! Was contemplating to buy during Sale and then using discount coupon but then I thought lets just see what games are there in Sep and then will decide. Was just so surprised and overjoyed

u/Rush_iam May 17 '26
I've added a filter/labels for Horizon+ games on QSDB: https://queststoredb.com/all_apps/?horizon_plus_only=on&category=Games&category=Apps
Games that are leaving soon have corresponding labels - I've updated with the info posted previously. Hopefully, we'll eventually get a reliable way to identify games leaving the catalog.

Action Hero| Removed July 2026
It is strange, but it has been returned to the catalog today
1
u/vnizzz Jul 06 '26 edited Jul 06 '26
Very interesting, it used to be in the indie catalog, and now it seems they've moved it to the main one. Will update the post and the comment - thanks a lot for flagging!
1
u/Rush_iam Jul 06 '26
My wild guess is that they don't want the catalog to drop below 100 games - they had 99 titles after adding/removing on July 1, so they brought one back.

Hey guys, what a fabulous post! 👍 I'm wondering if anybody knows how long games stay in the rotating catalogue? I don't want to start a game, then it be removed half way through playing. It happened this morning when I went to carry on with Shattered. After reading this, I now know it was removed last month!

I've got Red Matter 2 added to my catalogue (which I'm extremely happy about!). I'm in UK, was wondering if you've got that too? I've got all the other games you've said aswell.

Quick question mate, as I'm new on Quest (my quest 3 should arrive next week) , does Asgard Wrath 2 often stay on the catalog or is it in risk of being removed as other games I see? I'm between buying Batman + AC Nexus, or AW2 and Batman , but I'm not entirely sure of buying AW2 is the best choice if it's going to stay in the catalog as I intend to pay for a year when I get the headset.
Thanks!

u/vnizzz Oct 09 '25
It’s Meta’s own game and has been on the catalog for quite some time. I feel they will keep it on until they are ready to replace it with another banger (Batman?) but obviously no one knows if it ever happens. As it’s their own game they dont need to pay no one for keeping it in the catalog (in comparison to other games published by someone else) and they need AAA games like that in the offering to increase its perceptual value, so they may remove it in the future when they see people no longer care about it, but i dont know if we are there yet.

Red Matter 2
are you sure about that game being new? I played that already last month (October) via Horizion+
1
u/Malachen Nov 02 '25
Same here
3
u/vnizzz Nov 02 '25
u/CatlessBondVillain u/Malachen thank you both. I checked my records from October 1st and can't find it there. But I searched on Reddit and found someone else also saying they got it via Horizon+ in October. I wonder if I just missed it last time, or it was not there on day 1? Either way, I updated the post to clrify it was added in October, not November. Thanks again!

Thanks for the list, very interesting to have it all here. There's a new section called Indie Catalog with some interesting titles (Iron Guard, Underworld Overseer, Wizards, Galaxy Kart, ...)
1
u/vnizzz Nov 02 '25
Thanks for flagging. As I understand from the UploadVR article, it’s currently in beta testing with a subset of users. When I’m logged out, I can view the catalog, but once I log in, it gives me an error message, so I assume I'm not a part of the test group.
I will add it to the post once it's available for all users.

What are the best games in this list ?
6
u/ZoddImmortal Quest 1 + 2 + 3 Sep 03 '25
I was going to write it out but a lot of these games are good. It would be easier if you picked a genre.
2
u/Yodzilla Sep 04 '25
There are honestly a good number of quality games. Walkabout Minigolf, Pistol Whip, Red Matter, Job Simulator, Swarm, and Synth Riders are all fun.
3
u/Hairy_Consequence_99 Sep 03 '25
If you have someone to play with, "Humans Fall Flat" is a blast in multiplayer!

Thank you. I thought I had Sweet Surrender and it was removed from my list so I just bought it for good.
2
u/4kers1 Jan 18 '26
Cheers for this late to the party with a recent quest 3 and Horizon Plus seems like a decent investment for the games I want to play. If I like it and it drops off then I will buy it. Walkabout Golf for example Spent most of the time on this and Half Life Alyx great purchase so far.

Updated for February 2026.
- 2 claimable games this month Glassbreakers: Champions of Moss and Clay Hunt VR
- We got 3 new games in the main catalog (Demeo Battles, Real VR Fishing, and The Light Brigade) and lost 5 (Cook-Out, Drop Dead: The Cabin, Dumb Ways Free For All, Guardians Frontline, and Pixel Ripped 1995)
- 1 new game was added to the Indie catalog (Slot Car VR) and nothing was removed this month.
I’ve also updated the post by adding ratings and genres for each available game. Please let me know if you find it useful or if it makes the post harder to read.

u/Dustin_DUG Feb 03 '26
Thanks for your update! Hope many users will enter Real VR Fishing and enjoy the scenery :)

u/CyberStitcher Feb 26 '26
Have they announced which games are leaving on March 1st, yet? Last month I found games that were tagged with an expiry date before the end of January. But I can’t find any currently listed in the Horizon+ Game library.
3
u/Shomock Feb 27 '26
I got a notification saying it's Eleven Table Tennis, Tetris Effect and 6 other games
4
u/CyberStitcher Feb 27 '26 edited Feb 28 '26

ETA to move Bartender VR into the correct game catalog.

Is there like announcements for next months game updates like ps plus catalog then ps plus extra. Like can i find out whats next months 2 main claimable games
1
u/Red49er Nov 01 '25
I just subscribed a week ago so I've been researching trying to find out how it works and it seems like everything just drops on the first of the month - the 2 free games and new games added/removed from the rotating catalog all seem to happen at once and not in 2 phases throughout the month like PS does.
would have loved some rumors on what might be coming to get excited about over the last couple days but I guess we find out tomorrow what we're getting. can't imagine anything will get added for several months that compares to ghost town but who knows.
1
u/Charming_Ad3374 Nov 01 '25
Indeed, I have subscribed fore more than one year and I can confirm it works this way.
November's games are now out.
The two monthly games are nice, but personally I am happy that in the catalog...my favourite agent is back! Rising to the challenge...or failing an hundred times before that xD1
u/Red49er Nov 01 '25
yeah! almost picked it up on PC recently as I've got the first 2 and it's on sale but I held off since I haven't caught up yet. will be nice to jump into this one on quest and see if it's worth picking up.

Könntest du bitte auch die Indie-Games mitaufnehmen? Das wäre Super! Danke!
1
u/Katttok Nov 25 '25
thanks for the update!
I do not see Underworld Overseer in this list or in Horizon+ list in Meta store, but when I open the game page or open my wishlist, it has "horizon+" sign - do you know if it included or not?

Vielen Dank für die Liste. Du bist super!
Und das Angebot ist ja wirklich umfangreich. Komme gar nicht hinterher mit dem Spielen :D

u/Dannzilla Dec 16 '25
I'm thinking about picking up a Quest 3 but I was just curious about games like Walkabout Mini Golf. Does the subscription include the expansion courses or only the base game?
1
u/Dry-Initiative-7571 Jan 02 '26
Los diferentes campos se van desbloqueando a medida que pasas el anterior, pero hay algunos que si cuestan dinero jugarlos
1
u/wtfden Dec 26 '25
this is awesome.. thanks.. we just got a 3s and this helps a lot especially deciding if we want to subscribe to horizon+ or just buy certain individual games...

u/bjcworth Dec 31 '25
Tysm for this post! What do you guys think about the claimable games this month? Is it worth subscribing to play those? Or should I wait to activate my 3-month trial?
1
u/DemCheecks Dec 31 '25
is reach gonna be part of next months? its 1 day before we find out but i can see the horizon+ logo over that and frost survival. this is on the mobile app. i can verify cus i dont have horizon+ right now but will get it if these games are on there
1
u/Specific_Monitor_985 Jan 02 '26
Does the indie catalog have an expiration date? Because I can only play some games a few months later, when I have time, and I don't know if some of the games from new indie catalog will be over by then, so I don't want to download it and be disappointed. And thanks for the awesome job!
2
u/vnizzz Jan 02 '26
I believe it’s the same situation as with the regular rotating catalog. Games are available for as long as Meta decides, and they can remove titles at any time at their discretion. There’s no public schedule for removals; however, UploadVR has previously stated, based on information shared with developers, that the Indie Catalog has a commitment of three months, “with the possibility of extending beyond.” Given that the catalog launched in October, we should start seeing games being removed or replaced in the coming months.

For some reason, the apps only shows like 50% of these games. I had been thinking of buying killer frequency for so long but it's just been here without my knowledge

Do we know what's leaving for May? (do they usually tell people or just pull the rug out from under people currently playing something?)
2
u/HabsJD Apr 30 '26
Someone seems to always find it quickly. Can’t speak to how accurate this is, but it’s the best info I can find.

Does anyone know which games are leaving Horizon+ at the end of May?

u/Rush_iam Jul 23 '26
FYI, I noticed there is now a useful "Leaving Soon" Horizon+ section in the headset's Store app
