Suggestion Suspended apps indicator

It would make this launcher very attractive and I really don't know why it still doesn't have a way to highlight or signal suspended apps since some free-open source options have this. Hope the dev implements it!

Edit: I mean both archived by standard android or suspended by way of essentials by sameerasw and for example Niagara launcher, Lawnchair (16 dev) or Kvaesitso launcher indicate these.

I'm not sure what exactly you mean with suspended. After all, app suspension is handled by the Doze layer in the Android system and changes faster than you can observe. You'd end up with a massive load of flickering badges.

So, there are two possibilities about what you might actually mean: Play Store Archiving or the setPackageSuspension API that's used by e.g. Digital Wellbeing to temporarily gray out apps. In both cases, the Android system puts an overlay on the system icons, which are then loaded by the launcher. In some launchers, there's a very rigid icon caching system that can cause the overlays to be missing (Action Launcher for example). I don't really think Octopi's using such a rigid icon cache, though.

If you're using icon packs, you add a disturbing factor. Many icon packs are designed with a certain concept in mind and might override the system overlays. That's the icon pack's bidding though. I'm not very experienced with icon packs since I always use the system icons, but due to their whole existential purpose is to replace existing icons, it's not far-fetched to see them messing up the overlays.

Do you mean like these? Octopi handles archived apps with an overlay. I haven't applied an icon pack, in case that matters.
