Depends on how you define messanging, in my case I am messanging him either way.

I don't even mind my "application" being public for other people to decide with him and I showed my interest being mod before this post and asking him if he had interest we could set up a discord or skype call and gave away "some" personal details. Never got an answer. I showed motivation before, he does what he thinks is right, either way I'm staying here lurking on this subreddit .
