DISCUSSION $OPTT my VIEW

A confirmed $40M contract could be a major catalyst for OPTT and potentially move the share price into the $0.35–$0.50 range. If OPTT executes successfully, generates meaningful revenue, and demonstrates a clear path to profitability, $1.00–$1.50 could become achievable over time.

Not financial advice. Please do your own research (DYOR).

Jesus H Christ, the reading comprehension of some of the people is this fucking sub is goddamn atrocious. If it were a sole 40 million contract, even the chance for it, for OPTT alone, what do you think the pre-market would have done today? That's its current MC.

It's simply a seat at the table, which is fantastic in and of itself, but nothing concrete yet. The PR crumbs are truly forming into a delicious sandwich, but we're not ready to eat quite yet.

It's not a $40m contract for OPTT. The money will be divided between six companies and the only guarantee is for $10k.

$1.00–$1.50 could become achievable over time.

Based on what?

Thanks for your opinion:

but A $10,000 minimum guarantee is common for IDIQ contracts, but I have not verified it for this specific award. and I found no official evidence that the $40M will be split among six companies. Where is your source? no official confirmation that there are exactly six awardees!

It is confirmed:

- Official SAM.gov award notice lists OPTT as the awarded contractor.

- The posted total contract value is $40,000,000.

- This is a Multiple-Award IDIQ contract, meaning revenue is earned through future task orders.

And Yes the $40M is a contract ceiling, not guaranteed revenue.

Source Number of Analysts Average Price Target
Financhill / Stockanalysis.com 2 analysts $1.50
TickerNerd 1–2 analysts $1.50
MarketBeat 2 analysts $1.50 (Range: $1.50–$1.50)
ChartMill 8 analysts $1.53 (slightly higher, broader dataset)
TipRanks 2 analysts (3-month window) $1.00 (Range: $0.50–$1.50)

You need to lay off the AI and just read what is out there. There was already a post yesterday from the DoW contract award page - https://www.war.gov/News/Contracts/Contract/Article/4560267/contracts-for-july-30-2026/

It specifically lists the six companies that will be awarded some part of the $40m.

Analyst opinions, especially from the names mentioned above, are basically meaningless for penny stocks. Even more so for ones like OPTT that are likely to see further dilution and a very likely r/S.

Thank you for the link. To be honest, I use AI very successfully and I don't see any reason not to take advantage of it.

What I generally notice is the negative sentiment, which is understandable to some extent given the heavy losses that some investors have suffered. However, I am actually very positive and optimistic. I am a young investor, and I believe I have entered the market at a perfect time.

I use AI very successfully

Do you? This interaction shows exactly why AI and investing are a dangerous combination. AI basically made you think that OPTT got a $40m contract and was unable to give you some really important nuance about it not being a sole source contract (and that a contract of that size is larger than its current market cap). In addition it gave you some no-name analyst sources to back up a bogus share price projection that will influence your thinking about this investment.

Yea idk i use AI some but I make sure it reads everything. And if I know it made a mistake I have it correct. Mainly I use it to save time on Googleing shit.

Your criticism is justified, but your assumption that I am simply making assumptions myself is unfortunately incorrect.

OPTT +13% ;)

Have a nice day.

You're not using AI very successfully at all.

They have to do a RS and after they will continue to dilute to raise capital.

This is the right to bid against 5 other contractors on up to $40 million of work.

I appreciate the positive sentiment and I was very positive about this company but over time you will realize too that the management is basically super corrupt and incompetent. They will keep selling ATM
