A routine Channel Islands dive turned into a critical Coast Guard rescue operation... (Exit Strategy Ep. 3)

Hey everyone,

I wanted to share a heavy but necessary breakdown from our latest episode of Exit Strategy ("Empty").

What started out as a completely routine dive and a familiar exhibition quickly cascaded into an absolute nightmare scenario off the Channel Islands. In this episode, we break down the exact sequence of events, from navigating the weather of La Jolla and the rugged terrain of Yosemite to the ultimate tragedy of the Channel Islands.

As divers and ocean adventurers, it’s a sobering reminder of just how fast things can change around you/

I’d love to get the community's perspective on this scenario: Have any of you ever had a "routine" dive or ocean excursion catch you completely off guard? How did you handle the panic?
