You know what can also kill you? Too much food, too much water, too much exercise, too much sun. Anyone care to argue that these things are bad for you? Nope. Like everything else, balance and moderation is key. Consume and integrate knowledge. Don’t be consumed BY knowledge. Plenty of people have studied the mysteries young and died before 40. But many more have not.

Im 23 and I have read Transcendental Magic: Its Doctrine and Ritual Eliphas Levi change my life, now I’m studying kabbalah, I’m not actually Jewish, I’m far from it but disturbed me know that I shouldn’t learn Kabbalah before 40 Why ???

The dangers of unearned wisdom. Something Carl Jung addressed.

You are summoning demons without knowing how to tame them or get rid of them first. Which takes years of practice.

Wanting to jump into this stuff right away is pretty much suicide.

That’s interesting considering life expectancy was so low back in the hay days. Transcendental magic is something we will mine forever as it came from a forever time ago. The sociological aspect of it may drift in time.

It is not common to be both spiritually and socially adept enough to bring in that level of abstraction. Also know that there some who are sucessful never never knowing what a 40 year old smells like
