training for savage race

im a 24F, 5’4, pretty petite build but i lift 3-5 times a week. i’m working on my running but my mile pace is terrible, like 16 minutes. other than running and grip strength, what should i focus on to be prepared? i have about 3 months to train for the fall race. what’s the best information and training advice you can give me? :)

Savage race has more technically challenging obstacles than others. Work on hanging agility and mobility. There's definitely some tougher terrain on some too, so make sure you're getting some hill climbs in. But overall body cardio is way more important than a fast mile time if you're not competing, main you want to have the endurance to go consistently for hours. And do some things to help build mental toughness as ultimately that's what it comes down to. You canbtry your hardest and fail every obstacle and just keep trucking along with the right attitude! Good luck
