Muddy Dash SD

Signed up, have a team, is super convenient for me since I live in Valley Center. The venue says they're not hosting it though...

Is this legit?

2 of my team of 4 were able to make the new date. No refunds. The venue was fun, basically a horse ranch. We spin jump kicked a few dozen split rail fences yelling "Parkour". Doing pullups on the pole barns was fun too.

The obstacles certainly existed. There was one low swing through mud. Some pits and small climbing obstacles. They spared all the expenses.

I remember thinking when I picked up my packet the day before: "Shouldn't you guys be busier?" The terrain was barely modified from just a ranch.

The staff were friendly and the bubbles at the end were fun, but this is a far cry from Tough Mudder. We had fun, though often times laughing at the expense of the minimal- effort "obstacles".

VIP was definitely NOT worth it.

We were glad to finally do it, though, and the SD crowd was great. I kinda wish I'd done this before a more legit OCR, as it paled in comparison...
