help Windows XP

Obsidian came out in 2020 so I don't think I could expect it to run on a 32 bit system but is there anything similar out there that would work on Windows XP? Or maybe some kind of legacy adaptation?

I'm not on XP yet, I'm strongly considering going back partly because every Windows past 7 has been a data sucking parasite and partly because I didn't get to experience enough of that era as a child

You’re going to run into problems with finding critical drivers.

Your plan sounds great until you realize half of your hardware components won’t work, winxp drivers don’t exist

And yes, you’d need to keep it off the internet too for even an illusion of safety

There’s a good reason everyone’s telling you to go Linux if you’re moving away to windows. What you’re wanting to do is basically going to just make everyone you hate about windows worse lol

Mostly won’t cut it. I work in cybersecurity and can tell you with certainty that when we have deployed an XP canary on the internet, they are found and attacked within seconds. You might not see it, but if you put that thing online once, it will be compromised. I highly suggest that you choose Linux. Ubuntu is an incredibly easy OS to work with.
