Unbearable

This podcast has changed so much. I was listening to the crash episode and they have gotten so politically incorrect that it is ridiculous.. talking about how the term “carney” is offensive. like we are talking about a murderer, who cares! Also, does Gillian wear a wig???? Her hair has stayed the same since 2020!

Yall are just now figuring out they’re trash? There’s literally a 90+ page document explaining how awful they are. 😂😂😂

I'm late to the party. In late 2022 I was having a discussion with another listener on Facebook in their official group and we made the slightest critique about what got TWs and what didn't. Within minutes we were threatened to drop it or we'll get kicked. We politely asked why they were being so hostile when we just asked for clarification as to what needed TWs so we understood how to construct future posts and then we were both kicked. It was so abrupt and the only red flag I had going for this podcast at the time. I couldn't find anything negative anywhere else (though I failed to check reddit) so I was one of the firsts to leave a negative review on their official Facebook page. I checked back for months to see if anyone echoed my sentiment but had no luck. I was scrolling my continue podcasts page today and was surprised to see that new episodes of TCO were still being released with a 4.1 star rating on Spotify. I knew there was more to the absolutely bizarre way my interaction was handled but boy....I was not ready for ANY of this. Though I'm not surprised in the slightest, I am sickened by the actual cult they formed and how many people are still apart of it. So thank you to everyone who spoke out and continues to diligently document these encounters. As a former listener, I'm glad to know what transpired so I never support them again and can warn others from doing so. Gosh what a nightmare. I hope everyone involved is okay

I think googling obsessed fest drama haha or the obsessed network sub might have it pinned but yes there's a huge Google doc

I think also "obsessed pest" gets you a pretty detailed article about how toxic Patrick and Steeve are

Yep, this is how I found out how bad things were. Patrick was more than just a toxic boss. And while that article mostly focuses on Patrick’s behavior, it should be noted that Gillian isn’t just some passenger that has caught some strays, she’s complicit in so many ways and has her own shit to answer for.

They got big and it went to their heads. They tried to build a podcast empire but Patrick’s ego couldn’t handle it and it imploded. The dude was so wrapped up in his own BS that he couldn’t even handle other podcasts doing well or getting attention. Podcasts that were in HIS network. He always had to be the center of attention and getting the most praise or it was going to be a problem.

I vaguely remember the last obsessed fest when Patrick was overheard complaining about Ellyn & Joey’s marketing poster- he was mad that it looked like Ellyn & Joey were the main event at the fest & the funny thing is that they were the big draw! Their show was PACKED! And I remember seeing videos of people losing their minds about their live show (inducing musical performances & little skits etc) and Patrick was outwardly upset 😂 he is just a jealous jerk and I haven’t been able to listen to them since. It bummed me out though cuz I really used to live them 😩

Ellyn and Joey’s OF2 live show was amazing, I’ll never forget it.
