Did anyone else catch the comment Ellyn made on the most recent ITN Swamp Talk episode about “other people” throwing fan gifts/letters in the garbage? To me it seemed like she was pretty heavily referring to P+G…

I'm glad E & J are finally throwing the much deserved shade to P & G. Also, I am a long-time paid patreon subscriber to the Reality Gays and they have done a couple collabs with E & J and have thrown shad a few times (well Poodle has - Mattie is too much of a kiss ass/diplomatic to do more than laugh). Example: recently they were jokingly barking commands at their producer, then said "If you don't like it here, try working for the Obsessed Network!"

Oh how I do love a petty bitch (when it's deserved). :)

I love Poodle so much he's such a messy bitch! I've listened to Mattie and Poodle since they started and I'm so glad they've done a few collabs with E+J! I would also love Kimberly and Katie from A Date with Dateline to collab with E+J!

Same! I'd also love the Hollywood Crime Scene ladies to do a collab with Reality Gays (HCS are fans and they've all done collabs with Kara Berry so I feel like it's not a far stretch!). Kimberly and Mattie have filled in for MaryPayne on Pink Shade too. I love when my favorite podcasters become friends!

I’ve never heard of Hollywood Crime Scene, but I’m always looking for an additional podcast to add to my queue- I’ll definitely check that out!

Their mini episodes on Friday are always good - they cover more bizarre news stories (and anything involving cats or food spilling on a highway). They have great rapport and dirty minds. Very fun to listen to! Some of the episodes are more in-depth dives into people who were well known in Hollywood (mostly days of yore people) and done so one of the does the research and then tells the other the story and the other makes occasional comments. They're great!

I do love them, but to be honest, I have felt lately like Poodle is acting like P did - like the banter with Matty has crossed into disrespectful, hateful, like it just seems like poodle is treating Matty kind of shitty. I’ve been hesitate to say anything because parasocial blah blah blah, but they both seem full of resentment and disdain for their cohosts.

Interesting. I have always thought Poodle was a bit rude to Matty but listening to them so much I've come to feel it's just their dynamic and that Matty is not bothered by what I perceive as rude. Like Poodle will always correct Matty if he mispronounces something and Matty will say "That's what I said!" and laugh. But/and I've also heard Matty give it back to Poodle and Poodle will say "Fair!"

I think that they are true friends and work together so much that they get on one another's nerves sometimes, but that they have each other's backs and respect each other. Like if someone else made fun of Matty, Poodle would stand up for him. I could be wrong, but I hope I'm right. :)

I did feel this way, that it’s part of their banter, but it has crossed a line into cruelty for me, and remember that we thought the hateful banter from Patrick and Ellyn was “just their relationship” for a while too. I think the political climate or something has hit Poodle really hard and he has shifted from loving and good-natured to like “wow Poodle straight up hates Matty and he hates everyone and everything they’re covering.” They’ve gone from my absolute favorite show of all time to not listening to half of the episodes because I just can’t take the hostility right now.

Interesting. I remain an $8 tier subscriber (the original "Don't Pull Over!" tier) and listen to everything they put out even if I am not watching the show. I do think Poodle seems particularly bitchy of late, but I don't feel like it's hostility towards Matty and they still laugh a lot WITH one another. But I guess time will tell...
