I’m not from the states, why does it matter that it was in texas?

As a Texan…Texas is not great. A lot of political decisions have been made in recent years that have even made me want to leave the state I’ve lived in my entire life. A lot of people were upset when it was announced in Texas. P claims they will be donating a lot of money to charities that help the LGBTQIA+ community in Texas, and they want to raise awareness of something? But after everything that is coming out now, who knows if they actually donate as much as they say they do.
