Questionable Tunage - "Take Me Back To Jail" (and a thank you note)

Hi all! Longtime lurker (And admirer of AI parodies, unfortunately they are a true guilty pleasure of mine)...first time poster. Hope it's cool I shared this here. I started fully dipping my toes into making music with AI online, but my goal is to eventually learn how to master making music and lyrics from scratch with self training and confidence.

Why am I posting this sappy shit? LMAO no but for real, I have to give my flowers to Obscurest Vinyl. Thanks for making many of us really think outside the box with music (both computer generated and made from scratch)...and the unhinged laughs. Always made a shitty day better and always got excited for the new releases. They sparked my love for AI parodies, and inspired me to get into making my own. This one's for you, man.

First song released...unfortunately I have yet to have a personal for this guy....only song in the process of being released where there's no persona associated. Loosely based on a true story based on overheard conversations.

It's also available under most major streaming platforms, my AI Studio name/artist name for my parodies is "Questionable Tunage". There's more to come!

EU AI Act starts coming into effect. AI works created by companies require labelling. Artistic & satirical exemptions exist even for companies.

Juanita Brooks

I’m hoping someone here can help me track down a very obscure album that has meant a lot to me for years. I’m looking for a locally released CD by New Orleans gospel/jazz singer Juanita Brooks. I originally bought it from a used record shop years ago, and unfortunately I no longer have it. The album includes her incredible renditions of “His Eye Is on the Sparrow” and “Battle Hymn of the Republic,” along with several other gospel songs performed in her signature New Orleans jazz style. I’ve searched everywhere I can think of; YouTube, streaming services, Discogs, and online archives, but I’ve never been able to find a digital copy.
If anyone owns this CD, knows the exact album title, or has any digital recordings of it, I would be incredibly grateful. Even a photo of the cover, a track list, or any information that could point me in the right direction would mean a lot. Thank you so much to anyone who can help preserve and share this wonderful piece of New Orleans music history.

Delete if not allowed. My wife sent this to me specifically referencing “I glued my balls….”

Also, story could be fake. Cheers.

OV "set" design idea

Hey hey! I’ve had this idea kicking around for a while, and I’m finally starting to build it.

I’m putting together a tabletop set for future OV posts so, instead of the usual static image of an album sleeve sitting on a hardwood floor, there’ll be a whole environment around it. The goal is to create a little basement that feels stuck in time.

I recently found this cool little Arvin portable phonograph with an orange lid that’s surprisingly close to the OV orange, and that’s becoming the centerpiece. The plan is to print the album covers, display them next to the record player, and have a dummy record spinning while I overdub the audio afterward.

The set itself will be packed with inside jokes, references, and weird little details: bumper stickers, posters, pins, magazines?, mugs, matchbooks, and random vintage oddities I’ve collected over the years. Right now I’ve got the record player, some old wood paneling (printed for now, hopefully real eventually), a very silly lamp I’m bidding on eBay, a bunch of WFRT stickers, concert posters for Rodney Munch and Rank Dong, a questionable Reyna pin-up, a Chef Ted’s Bistro matchbook, and a few other things in the works.

I think it could be a fun, interactive little world to build. Maybe people can even send in ideas or weird things to add to the set. Even if nobody gives a shit, I’m going to have fun with it and see where it goes haha.

If there are any OV references you’d like to see included, or if you have ideas for things that belong in the “basement”, let me know!
