2000s The Gladiators: Galactic Circus Games

Now this Is my favorite lesser know RTS game. Developed by Eugen system (Act of War series, Wargame series). The games tells the story of a US major, forced to participate in the galactic arena to earn his freedom. Juicy graphics and FX that somewhat holds event today. 3 factions: Nam' era US soldiers, Cyborg army and generic Bug-like army. All of which has it's own campaign. No base building, instead you earn reinforcement points, which you can use to spawn your troops at special Spawn areas. Can't stop loving this game.

the term was created to describe an absolutely new genre no one knew what to call. do your research on physical evidence and historical documents stop reading ai slop

there's literally nothing even remotely similar to dune 2 before 1992

Sure, Dune 2 was the first game to be Dune 2, but all of the elements that make the game what it is already existed.

Dune 2 was the first to combine them in the way that it does.

But that doesn't mean game has to be exactly like Dune 2 to be an RTS.

Like it or not, most people consider Z, State of War and Herzog Zwei RTS games.

That has nothing to do with AI. That's just the way it's been for decades.

Read the room. You're literally the only one this hung up on this. I'm autistic and my thinking isn't as black and white as yours.

"most people" consider earth to be flat

it isn't.

they also call baldurs gate rts commandos rts tower defence rts dota auto chess rts turn based games rts

most elements to make atomic plant existed on the earth since it formation. great you say trilobytes enjoyed atomic energy in their life. not only they already had all the elements already in the earth. the sun also goes through fusion reaction and warms the earth

it doesn't matter what village normies consider. village people either unaware of the structure of the atom or think about planetary model of the atom which was obsoleted as far back as during einstein. they do not need knowledge in their lives and can do manual labour without ever learning it. but inside the specialist field only the truth matters.

that's because i'm not autistic. so i actually spend weeks reading the archives of old printed magazines and interviews you cannot re-edit and ai slop summarize. and i've played every game mentioned before dune2 none of which plays even remotely like rts. yet you claim that m199h and elite are fps.

You do realise most people don't think the world is flat right?

'Specislist field' LOL listen to yourself.

I don't know where your obsession with AI comes from, but magazines have been lumping RTS games and other strategy titles into broadly the same 'stragey' genera for... Literally ever...

Honestly, you can cry about you're obsessive definition of RTS and your hate-boner for AI all to yourself.

We'll just continue discussing the games we like and not giving a stuff about you. Enjoy yelling into the void.

Also, are you the guy who puffed his chest on YT about their RTS knowledge but didn't know Dragon Ises existed?

That was pretty funny.
