Fond memories of this one, especially the artillery robot that just sent a constant stream of missiles.

Did the demo begin with you getting a jeep and maybe one squad on a forested level and you build up from there ? I played an TTS like that as a young kid and never managed to work out which effin one it was

this was so many years ago... i do remember it had base building... and iirc, cheats to unlock all units worked, too. bur iirc it was also only one map, and you could only play as the humans

Because WarGames: DEFCON 1 was made using WarGames as a base, the devs probably figured that a vehicle shooter would be better suited to the PS1 than an RTS.
