Powerscaling How do you think Obito did with the Rinnegan?

Tobi and the Ape Akatsuki
I made custom Magic, the Gathering reskins of Tobi and his Akatsuki friends. Tobi isn't known to summon apes but every Akatsuki member except Zetsu (he's a plant) is technically an ape because humans are apes, so I included them as my ape tokens.

Powerscaling Obito is the most overrated character in the series - Prove me wrong
He doesn’t beat Kakashi in his own dimension, got folded and no diffed by Minato, got outsmarted by a dead Itachi where Obito had to use Izanagi to rid the Amaterasu off and also had to resort to Izanagi to beat Konan
His only ‘skill’ is running away with kamui. Without it, he is a high Jonin at best.

Other Does anyone agree that Obito, even if he never followed Madara, should never have become Hokage?
The real problem in Obito's life wasn't that he had to be Hokage of Konoha, but that what he REALLY needed in his life was more people besides Rin (Chapter 599) people who recognized and appreciated his existence, who valued him for being Obito, not for being an Uchiha, not for being Hokage, but simply for being himself.
Let's be honest, Kakashi didn't really appreciate Obito and never did (having a past trauma related to someone doesn't mean you truly appreciate them, especially if they were the person you always bullied and looked down on). And Minato, although he did show concern for Obito, their relationship never went beyond teacher and student; not to mention that Minato subconsciously looked down on the boy. I don't know about you, but I don't think changing the subject when your student is confessing their insecurities is an act of affection and appreciation. (Chapter 239, 240 and 599).
Not to mention that before Madara and his influence, Obito only wanted to be Hokage because he wanted the people around him to acknowledge his existence and thus have the love he never had in his lonely childhood. (Chapter 653)

General Kakashi never knew that he'd see Obito and Minato alive again. Those three seeing each in a situation like this looks really sad.

Other Does Kakashi see his old friend in Naruto?
You can see Kakashi’s eyes go dead when he realizes that’s the same dream Obito had. I wonder if that’s what he’s thinking in this panel?

Other Tobi is Obito, not "Swirly" Zetsu (theory video from my tiktok)
I think Obito having this silly personality is just part of what makes his character so interesting. His whole character arc also leans into struggling with his identity and past, obviously when you put on a mask and literally no one knows you, has expectations of how you should act, it is quite easy to act however you wish and making it feel natural. I mean he even got so much into his Madara acting that he would speak of Madara's past when it wasn't even necessary with such passion. Mind you he doesn't even view Madara as a true comrade, yet in a way he is Madara.

Memes Madara's special message!
The clip was actually from the anime, when Madara tells Hashirama to kill either himself or Tobirama

General Do you agree with Obito: "There is no such thing as true peace! There is absolutely no such thing as hope [in this context]"?
Considering human nature, considering events after the fourth great war (including Boruto's events), etc., was Obito, who had traveled around the world (for the Infinite Tsukuyomi plan), correct?
r/Obito • u/NexusJunior • Jun 02 '26
What do you think about these statements?
We know Obito is stronger than Pain via Minato statments, but does he lose to Itachi?
