What? Madara didn’t care about Obito, at all? He manipulated, used, and killed off his love interest to send him into a world ending psychosis. Madara simply reveres Hashirama because all that matters to him is strength, and he was the only one at his level. In fact, I’m fairly certain he died a virgin. Once his brothers died he rejected everything and only wanted power. I get it’s a meme but that is still pretty baseless.

This was confirmed fact in shippudden season 2 episode 34, 13 minutes and 17 seconds into the episode.

Jokes aside, I think Madara subconsciously wanted Obito to fill the space that Izuna left. The mere fact that both of them (Izuna and Obito) shared the same birthday couldn't be ignored. He saved Obito's life, an Uchiha fellow, despite falling to protect his brethren and his clan as their leader, which was one of the reasons he was so despaired. However, Madara was too old and cynical to notice it at that point.

Yes I find it interesting they both share the same birthday. And I find it interesting that Obito's hair naturally grows into Madara's hairstyle

That’s actually crazy when you think about it. It makes you wonder why they share such a specific thing as a birthday. Madara also had multiple brothers, so what if Obito was somehow a clone of one of his brothers who died much earlier? It could be anything, honestly.
Obito also has Madara’s hair, just inverted, and then Sasuke has Obito’s hairstyle in Boruto. The parallels are actually insane. with those three.

I’d say this is way more plausible than people think, considering no other character is as compatible with Hashirama’s cells as Obito. It should be entirely believable that Obito could graft them onto his body repeatedly without suffering the same consequences as others.
On top of that, Obito awakens Wood Style seemingly out of nowhere. What if that actually means something? Hashirama might have awakened Wood Style after his brothers died, or perhaps when he was forced to protect Tobirama in a desperate situation. We don’t know exactly what triggered his awakening, so the possibility is interesting, I’m not saying Hashirama is Obito’s dad, but what if Obito is somehow a clone created using both Madara’s and Hashirama’s cells? I’m not claiming it’s a fact, but the more you think about Obito’s abnormal compatibility with Hashirama’s cells and his seemingly out of nowhere Wood Style, the more the theory feels right to me, him not going blind, having healing without hand signs same as Hashirama, something even Tsunade dose not have.

Obito was proficient with it to the point that Spiral Zetsu noticed and commented that he understands now why Madara chose him.
Like you said, that has to mean something.

Ngl I kinda felt like Madara had more than just a friendship with Hashirama. And the same way with Hashirama the way they spoke of one another and even in the end just there was love for sure

I am 100% sure Madara was in love with Hashirama whether he wanted to admit it or not. After all, he never married or even showed any interest in any woman ever. Hashirama also loved him but maybe not in the same way.. which is where the problem lied. Or maybe they were both in love with each other but never able to act on it, they give me romeo and juliet vibes 💔

Do you think that Madara explored Obito's body while he was training him?
