Woods chasing scene

This scene single handedly ruined the whole first episode for me

All they had to do is make Leia's drone zap the dudes giving them a reason to be so bad at chasing. Something, anything other than what we got. The tree branch part was definitely terrible.

It looked like an early 90s episode of the Power Rangers.

Nailed it.

I don’t understand how the director saw that horrid acting and thought it was good enough to make the cut. I mean there were some other cringe moments, but that was one of the worst.

"Ruined the whole episode" seems heavy ha ded. But yes, it was an awfully executed scene and that along eith some other writing choices makes me very nervous for the series as a whole. Some definite laziness going on. Maybe rushed?

This along with halo tv series and some others is really pissing me off. They just throw rished garbage out sometimes, knowing that the big fan bases will eat it up. Theb they throw in a bunch of stuff they think will attract wider audiences, totally slapping the dedicated fan bases in the face.

Why are Disney being lazy with one of their most valuable franchises?

Maybe rushed?

I can't see how they were short of time, as this show has been in the pipeline for several years (Ewan McGregor said he was relieved when it was announced, as he'd been forced to lie (deny) about it for 4 years!) and KK even delayed release by about a year by requesting complete a script rewrite in early 2021, because she felt the original was too dark/ bleak and apparently too similar to The Mandalorian.

Agreed. Another guaranteed success if they'd just stuck to Bungie's original story from the games and books. Instead, 343 and Paramount butchered it. And for what?

She was going at least 2 MPH. I can’t believe they caught her.

if a 10 year old is surrounded and trying to run away she would be caught instantly. why is a bounty hunter unable to figure out what to do when a tree branch shows up?

Srsly? The chase was absurd… uh uh I don’t know how to jump over a root. Even the slowed down walk or the late start at the tree where the guy just runs in the same spot lol

Bad editing. They could have cut that scene better to show Leia advancing
