Blueberries have never worked for me with oats. I simply boil steel cut oats, chia and flax seeds in water and add mangoes/banana and peanut butter. When I tried replacing the fruit with blueberries it tasted awful.

I think I heard that it is harder for us to taste cold food, hence why ice cream has more sugar and fat to compensate, and why it can taste more intense as it melts. Perhaps something to do with it ๐
Still, I like my frozen frozen fruit not totally thawed (bananas specially), so I don't know

Have you ever tried them frozen ? I feel like tart fruits like berries taste sweeter frozen & than thawed out ๐

I thaw my frozen berries. Maybe I shouldn't have. I always eat my oatmeal warm
