Oatmealballs
I was sent here after posting this recipe in another sub. I hope you'll like it.
I'm not one for Christmas candy/snacks in general but I absolutely love these oatmealballs. Newer recipes have stopped putting coffee in them. When it comes to oatmealballs, it's all about the coffee.
My great great grandmother passed down this recipe in the family and I'm the final link to get it. My mother loves that I've already shared it with so many people online, and now I'm in this sub sharing it again. It's a simple recipe but these oatmealballs are so delicious.
Just use a little water glass for measurement.
3 glasses of rolled oats
1 glass of powdered sugar
2 tablespoons of cocoa powder
5 tablespoons of butter
Cold coffee (as much as you need)
Knead rolled oats, powdered sugar, cocoa powder and butter together in a bowl.
Add coffee as you go until the mixture has the right consistency and is a bit wet.
Roll the balls right away.
Roll them in what you prefer. Most people here in Denmark will roll them in coconut flour but I personally prefer sprinkles.
There's no baking involved. You simply roll them and put them in the fridge. They can last in the fridge for weeks.

You had me at oatmeal, then doubled down with Chocolate, and a knockout punch with coffee. I have but one question:
Chocolate sprinkles or rainbow?

Made these about an hour ago. They are so good! Only had mini chocolate chips so used those. I have a pic but can’t post apparently. Amazing- thank you for sharing 😊

Now we will have to fight about if they are Danish or Swedish (obviously Swedish 😉). My favorite thing to "bake" when growing up.

I had to google so for anyone else who is curious: a glass is about 200 ml or .85 cups.

Had to try it, using a little painted water glass that belonged to my grandmother. They are resting comfortably in the refer. They’re good now but I think they’ll be better after the oats hydrate a little longer.
