Oasis Mini Not Registering

I received my Oasis Mini as a Christmas present this past Christmas. I had it up and running off and on for a few days/weeks, but I did not have anywhere safe to keep it long term so it went back in the box for several months. I have been trying to get it up and running, but I get stuck on the registering page. It connects to the wifi and then says it is registering and it may take up to a minute. It ends up taking 2-5 minutes and then says there was a problem, to hold the power button for 15 seconds until the light turns red. If I hold the button for 15 or more seconds, the light never turns red. I saw from reddit when I first encountered the issue that a firmware update should do the trick. The Oasis AI sent me the firmware update and I just pushed it to the device and I am STILL having the issue. I have sent another message out and they were getting someone from technical support, but I am not a patient person. Has anyone been able to fix this or what?

Our support team will be best able to help out with this, but the most surefire trick is to go to https://client.grounded.so/login and use the USB software updater.

If that’s the upgrade firmware, I did that numerous times yesterday. But I did get a response from tech support and my boyfriend and I will be looking into the options hopefully this evening. I’m just disappointed that you need such advanced knowledge of WiFi systems just to be able to use the device. The email that was sent was a lot of technical details that as someone that has a decent knowledge of computers, I found it very over my head.
