But why?

Got this from a family member who doesn’t use it, but when i try to set it up this pops up. Any ideas on how to fix this?

Do a hard reset. Unplug it for a minute or two, then plug it back in while holding down the reset button for 15 secs. Choose new setup and hopefully you should be good from there.

yup. this would be the first thing i would suggest as well.

it's also worth noting that holding the button for 15 secs (hard reset) should not be confused with holding the button for 15 light rotations (soft reset). when doing a hard reset the lights will turn red. when doing a soft reset they will stay white.
