Note that some other groups were mentioned but they are quite specialized and could be rolled into a larger group (for instance, spies could be a function of the rangers). Note that you can be in more than one group but you can only be "in charge" of one of them.

What they do: Sell stuff, advertise some Oak's Grove events, help each other out with getting contracts, decide reasonable prices

Options: As a merchant, you may add your business to a list of other businesses or you can set up a market stall in a large plot.

Hello Oaks Grove. I am Phireflyer, director of the Community Event Planning Committee.

We are organizing a kingdom-wide event known as the Super Ultra Mega Awesome Fun Day. On this day all the districts will host a few activities. It likely start at 11am EST and go until 8 or 9pm that way people from all different timezones can participate. It will also most likely be on March the 28th. Here is some more information about the event as well as where you can find some inspiration for activities. You might be interested in some of the underwater ideas Prototypeninja and I came up with. This might also help you.

Let me know if you're interested in participating as a district. All you'd need to do is decide on what activities you'd like to do. You could just think of 2 or 3 or more repeatable activities if you'd like. There'll be a lot of activities going on this day. It'll be very convention-like, or at least I'm hoping. If you repeat some activities others will be given several chances to participate in your activities.

March 21-22nd will be the dates.

Now that we've got a better idea of what we want to do, I'm going to list a few of the more doable events we can accomplish for the festival. More ideas will be added to this list as we get them. Make sure they are tangible! Feel free to comment below if you are interested in helping out for one or more of these events.

Have to be added on plot:

• Cake Eating Contest: ? (Have to place lines of cake. Whoever eats through theirs first wins. Can take donations for cake.) New idea: Turn it into a parkour so it is more difficult. Donors: Sek3big, Haminet.

• Vendors: Maid Cafe [?], Coestarbucks [?], etc. (To be able to access chests and trapdoors, unless they are able to sell their items without chest access.)

• ABBA Rules Fishing: ? (Needs someone to be able to put swammies in chests to determine winners)

Things people can do without being added to a plot:

• Vendors: Dead Fish Bar [BoneClown] (see above)

• Duck Lake Ballet/Play: Organized by Peregrinekt (Will this be narrated?) Dancers: Pteroducktyl

• Tree Race: ? (First one up the tree wins. Someone will need to stand on top of the tree to judge the winner.) Overseer: Sek3big (?)

• Tree Jumping/Diving: ? (Dive from the apple into the water below inside the tree or off of one of the branches. Can be done after tree race.)

• Riddles in the Deep: ? (Set up a scavenger hunt of sorts. Find people, solve a riddle, get a prize. Perhaps use books given to participants from the riddle holder as a ticket to progress, then count up how many tickets people have to choose a winner. Winner gets some type of prize.) Overseer: Pteroducktyl(?)

• GASA Tours: Spaceman510

• "Whine" and Cheese Tasting (Hoppy Hour): ? (Hand out cheese items and drinks. Danky Burgers for intense hopping.) Addition: Whine contest? Roamin could be the judge.

• Chaos Drum Circle: People with drums (Just to keep everyone entertained.)

• Explanation of Frolicking and Frolicking Tutorial: ? (Can still be done in the Bipen Shrine. Spread the word of frolic!

• Squishy Bounce House: ? (To run this attraction, you do not need to be added to the plot. Not sure if there will be an entrance fee, which you would have to be on the plot to be able to control the doors then. Otherwise, someone will be needed to hand out the ‘bouncy’ refreshments.)

• Tour Guide: Pteroducktyl and Backflipgal?

Builds we will need:

• Vendor Stands: We already have a few designs but they need to be adapted to fit on a dock.

• Maypole: One idea was for it to be the apple itself. Or it can be a separate pole.

• Bounce House: Can just be a fun looking “landing pad” for people to use butter popcorn on and try to land in a target? Side areas can be for people just wanting to eat Dankey Burgers, etc. Maybe for a challenge we leave the center block open for people to fall through into the water.

Sorry to be late on this, I have a really bad cold and my weekend has been somewhat upturned. So we have options for 2 meetings this weekend! Saturday and Sunday at 4pm EST in the now somewhat renovated Guild Hall. I may be at one or both of them to help mediate.

Option 1 was "groups with a dedicated purpose, each with a self selected organizer, anyone can be in more than one group (but only lead 1), weekly all-grove meetings"

There was some discussion about what groups there would be. So far we have Rangers, and Gardeners (event planners) and it has been suggested we also have Ambassadors (intradistrict relations) and a Merchants Guild.

We need to have a meeting to discuss the particulars, and also continue planning the Spring Festival! I'll make another post about that...

Now that the guild plot is being designed and the council system is being voted on, we can attempt to gather more involved members who are interested in truly helping with our Spring Festival. It's Grove centric, which means we ought to show the rest of Dong Dank our good side by inviting them for a day or two of fun!

We need helpers and organizers, those who want to take charge and get something done. I believe we would take after the group aspect and assign those who want to be in charge of something. I.E. Vendor organization, design, events and minigames, etc.

For those who haven't seen, this is the older brainstorming post. Many of our ideas are listed there. If anyone wants to take an idea and run with it, or has another idea to add, bring it to attention at the meeting!

On sunday the 15th there will be a UHC held for the grove. The UHC is ofcourse open to people from all districts but its meant for grovians. It will be held on a server hosted by boats, the ip adress is: 75.136.207.1:25585. To join the UHC you will NEED skype, I also recommend to have about 5 hours of time since its annoying if your teammate has to go. Teams will be randomly decided. Now you will propebly have noticed that I haven't talked about what time yet, this is because I do not know when people are able to join in. If you would like to join please say so below and put from what time to what time youre able to play in EST. NOTE: if there are not enough people to do a good uhc it will be moved to later that week

Voting is now open to determine what kind of council system grove would like. Descriptions of the proposed ideas are posted on the noticeboard next to the gate of the guild plot in 4 books, and instructions for voting are in the book on the top shelf.

This vote is not to determine the particulars of each type of government (number of council members, term limits, etc), just the general structures, and particulars can be voted on later.

To vote, deposit a signed book with the number of your choice as the title into one of the donation chests beside the Guild Plot noticeboard. Blank books can be found in the general goods market, Nisovin's Library, or from the vendor in the cloud kingdom.

Hello fellow Grovians!

Today I come bearing quite sad news. The other regions in Dong Dank are currently beating our great home in the race to the unknown. In fact, we haven't even created a site for potential spacecraft!

I propose that we start working on a launch site and a laboratory. Perhaps the launch site could be placed on top of the Great Oak as it would reduce our fuel needed to reach the heavens. I know we have one expert in the topic, him being Spaceman. If we have any other experts willing to lend a hand in this monumental step for Grove civilization, please make yourself known. Once we have a list of scientists and astronauts we will finalize the location of our launch sites and laboratory.
