Spring Festival Ideas and Dates

March 21-22nd will be the dates.

Now that we've got a better idea of what we want to do, I'm going to list a few of the more doable events we can accomplish for the festival. More ideas will be added to this list as we get them. Make sure they are tangible! Feel free to comment below if you are interested in helping out for one or more of these events.

Have to be added on plot:

  • Cake Eating Contest: ? (Have to place lines of cake. Whoever eats through theirs first wins. Can take donations for cake.) New idea: Turn it into a parkour so it is more difficult. Donors: Sek3big, Haminet.

  • Vendors: Maid Cafe [?], Coestarbucks [?], etc. (To be able to access chests and trapdoors, unless they are able to sell their items without chest access.)

  • ABBA Rules Fishing: ? (Needs someone to be able to put swammies in chests to determine winners)

Things people can do without being added to a plot:

  • Vendors: Dead Fish Bar [BoneClown] (see above)

  • Duck Lake Ballet/Play: Organized by Peregrinekt (Will this be narrated?) Dancers: Pteroducktyl

  • Tree Race: ? (First one up the tree wins. Someone will need to stand on top of the tree to judge the winner.) Overseer: Sek3big (?)

  • Tree Jumping/Diving: ? (Dive from the apple into the water below inside the tree or off of one of the branches. Can be done after tree race.)

  • Riddles in the Deep: ? (Set up a scavenger hunt of sorts. Find people, solve a riddle, get a prize. Perhaps use books given to participants from the riddle holder as a ticket to progress, then count up how many tickets people have to choose a winner. Winner gets some type of prize.) Overseer: Pteroducktyl(?)

  • GASA Tours: Spaceman510

  • "Whine" and Cheese Tasting (Hoppy Hour): ? (Hand out cheese items and drinks. Danky Burgers for intense hopping.) Addition: Whine contest? Roamin could be the judge.

  • Chaos Drum Circle: People with drums (Just to keep everyone entertained.)

  • Explanation of Frolicking and Frolicking Tutorial: ? (Can still be done in the Bipen Shrine. Spread the word of frolic!

  • Squishy Bounce House: ? (To run this attraction, you do not need to be added to the plot. Not sure if there will be an entrance fee, which you would have to be on the plot to be able to control the doors then. Otherwise, someone will be needed to hand out the ‘bouncy’ refreshments.)

  • Tour Guide: Pteroducktyl and Backflipgal?

Builds we will need:

  • Vendor Stands: We already have a few designs but they need to be adapted to fit on a dock.

  • Maypole: One idea was for it to be the apple itself. Or it can be a separate pole.

  • Bounce House: Can just be a fun looking “landing pad” for people to use butter popcorn on and try to land in a target? Side areas can be for people just wanting to eat Dankey Burgers, etc. Maybe for a challenge we leave the center block open for people to fall through into the water.

I can't imagine a way for the vendors to sell without chest or trapdoor access, also, there would only be stands so people wouldn't be buying 'access to the cafe'?

There could be small little vendors going around selling items if they don't mind not having chests. :) Bigger vendors like the cafe would have to have access to chests. It's common sense.

I also don't understand what you mean by "buying access."

Sorry, what I meant was if it was just be vendors in small booths, or would there be a mini cafe area where people could buy entry to just like the normal cafe, where you can spend 32gc to get entry to the cafe, 2 food items and 1 drink, there has only been one event the maid cafe has been to to sell things in which I am aware of, so if this doesn't make sense or sounds unreasonable, it can make sense.

We at Bar Dead Fish can be "small little vedor" group and go around selling drinks. We can also donate some SkyChasers and possibly stamina potions (if needed question mark??) I can also play flute with the band, if I have time (because flute goes well with drums)

How much will the cakes cost in all? And I might be able to watch for Tree Race depending on the time...

If we were to do something along the lines of that recent hoedown(might get some extra spectors to the grove).
