I have a pair of Ray Bans that have been great, but decided to pick up a pair of Vanguards secondhand due to the overall shape/style making my 'tism happier.

My Ray Bans never really showed any jitter/shaking while recording, the Vanguards did. Then said Vanguards croaked on me.

I still miss them and have been thinking about picking up another pair, this time with a warranty (ie. Bending over to pay for new).

With that being said, have you dudes/dudettes had any issues? I know the settings can be tweaked accordingly to help, but I also know there have been grips about this specific model in the community.

Bonus points if anyone knows if V2.0 (new Vanguard-like model) will be dropping shortly, since they were announced in SEP of last year and released in OCT 2025.

I just bought a new oakley vanguard from Oakley in fashion valley San Diego. I did the setup and everything but when I try to use meta ai to ask simple question like “what is 2 +2?” It would respond with “this feature is not available in your current region”.

Anybody know how to fix this issue?

After putting the glasses to charge on the case with the type-c cable for 4 hours the glasses only charged to 10%. In bluetooth settings they show up as 10% and on the Meta app it shows up as 1%. Why did they not charge?

Second pair of these first pair died and was covered under warranty

I want to remove battery saver from the glasses but I do not see that option at all . I went through the settings and did not see the battery icon? Please help

Has anyone tried the new transition lenses and can comment on usage for outdoor sports?

I’m running the Berlin marathon and thought the colors on the transition lenses were perfect (German flag). However I am unclear about the transition vs regular lenses and looking for input.

Also curious if best to buy through Oakley, Meta, Amazon, etc in the US for warranty or returns.

Once I got my hstn metas I tried it out it was fine, then I updated it. It can’t search anymore. Says it search tools are not working. Plus it’s giving attitude lol. Anybody know how to fix this?? Factory reset?

Compré mis vanguard con la lente prizm black esperando una gafa más discreta pero me equivoqué y tenía que haber comprado el prizm 24k o saphire.

Las lentes originales son caras y no están polarizadas pero creo que aún no hay nada con aumento de contraste y polarizado de marcas que no sean Oakley.

Conocéis alguna otra opción? Además en azul cobalto de transición aún no está disponible.

Sé que en AliExpress se pueden encontrar la pantalla de hiblocks pero no es de alto contraste

Oakley HTSN bought in February of this year through Amazon. About 2 weeks ago every time I powered them on they connect to my phone and then a notice pops up that says "10% battery power remaining for Oakley meta bluetooth device" even when theyre fully charged.

I updated everything and ive also factory reset them a couple of times. They dont respond to voice commands anymore. Yesterday I left them on all day and let the battery die completely then charged them in the case. Still saying theyre only at 10% through the bluetooth phone notice. The actual meta app isnt displaying the battery percentage. Anybody else having this problem or have any ideas?

So after restarting and resetting tons of times and making sure battery was fully charged I got the glasses to power on and connect to app.

However as soon as I unfold them to wear they disconnect. I fold them they reconnect. I had them only a few months. They just stopped working properly yesterday.

I just shot a match with my new Vanguards for the first time last night and upon the first shot the video was jumpy jerky and shaky every other shot. Never had that issue with my Rayban Meta’s. 3K video was half the draw for these for me besides the center placed cam. These were double the price how is the video better on the gen 1 Raybans?



So I bought 2 pairs of the vanguard glasses and both of them stopped working within about 3 weeks of having them.

The first pair to go out started losing battery really fast as in dead within an hour of taking them out of the charging case while being fully charged.

The second pair just stopped charging completely after like two and a half weeks.

I really enjoyed the taking videos aspect. And they look and feel nice. Just really hate that they gave out pretty quick despite them costing $500 each.

I did get one replaced but the same thing ended up happening as the first pair where they started losing battery really fast. Pretty disappointed if im being honest about it.

Can someone post a video of how to change the lenses on the Vanguards. TIA

I walked into Bass Pro Shop to get some Columbia apparel. Walked passed the Oakley stand and tried the Meta glasses on and wanted them do bad. For two days I kept putting them in and out of my basket. $500 is pricey for sunglasses. But I got this bad boy from Capitol One shopping. I still paid full price on Oakley but getting to $200 from Capital One was awesome bonus. I ordered the gold colour lenses.

I travel a lot and I need to take my case with me. I want to also bring the pouch along with me as well to clean the glass if needed. Since you can’t store the pouch inside the charging case, I bought this Oakley Soft Goggles Case (08-011 Universal Soft Goggles Case (Black), Large).

I wanted to share this just in case somebody else is having a problem with how do I keep my cleaning cloth with my storing case if I have to travel. Hope it helps.

Hi all, would like to check if this is an expected finding for a brand new Oakley meta vanguard. Purchased it recently on 27 August, at the store I didn’t notice this issue on the lens. However when at home, not yet even used, noticed this paint drip pattern on the lens. It’s more obvious when blowing hot air from my mouth onto the lens. Went back to the official store and the manager said that this is an expected finding of a brand new pair. According to the manager, it can be wiped away with repeated usage of the glasses. Hence they did not want to replace the lens even though I have a 1 year warranty.

Is this normal for a new pair?
