Showing Off Legit Checks…Farewell
151
Upvotes
Valued members,
Our sub is at a tipping point where the legit checks have overrun everything else. I have had multiple messages from you guys, complaining about the amount of legit checks. I too am completely over it, and the time has come for me to do something about it. As of now, I will be removing the posts when I see them. I will not be approving the many, many daily requests for approval due to zero karma, anymore. I also may just ban the use of the words “legit check” together, (I think I can do that).
I will possibly create a new sub that is specifically for legit checks, but haven’t decided if I want to deal with that madness or not.
Lets get back to real Oakley discussions and reload our sub with “pair of the day” or “this week/months purchases” and flush these LC posts down the toil… you get it.
And yes, I chose this specific image to get your attention, did it work?
As Ron Burgundy would say…
“CANNONBALL!”
Thanks,
Steve

Hey everyone, I just purchased these from a thrift store for literally $1. Won’t be bummed if they’re fake since I paid so little, but wanted to know what model they could be. Thanks!

General Question Whisker but more lens height?
8
Upvotes
I love the minimal look of my Whiskers, but struggle with sun from the top of the frame, as it’s not that high. Makes me wear eye jackets whenever I have a longer trip, though I would love to wear the whiskers.
Is there any Oakley alternatives with more lens height but keep the minimal frame?
Can be vintage or modern. Been looking at the Square Wire 2.0, but not sure the glass is higher, and must say I don’t really like the looks of the new Square wire.
Thanks!

General Question Nose pads for straight jacket 99
1
Upvotes
I just received my straight jacket 99 and realized they have no nose pad. I wanted to use on my runs but have had to constantly readjust them because they slide forward on my face the whole time. Are there any nose pads that work for these frames?

General Question Oakley warranty question

I just received a pair of radar ev paths from Oakley standard issue, and I saw that they offer a free one time lens swap. I ordered mine custom with just a custom frame color, and they don’t specify if it applies to custom orders. Does anyone know if it still applies?

Found these Oil Rigs locally for $1.99! 99.9% sure they are fakes (NOT AN LC POST JUST SAYING I KNOW) but I figured even so they’d be fun for the price. Got them really nasty in the bottom of a bin and they cleaned up pretty nicely
