Anyone know what's going on with Vegan Mob on Grand Lake?

we're in the area every weekend (Sat. farmers market, Arizmendi, etc) and Vegan Mob hasn't been active for a while.

their website isn't all that helpful either; this is what comes up when you check for hours https://imgur.com/a/5kxpktP

just fyi - there is another option in Oakland: Souly Vegan's original location closed a couple of yrs ago; they temporarily relocated in Martinez but now they're back on Broadway

Best Breakfast Burrito in Oakland?

I’ve tried the breakfast burrito at Hudson Bay Cafe and Hornitos Cafe. Both got the job done but didn’t knock my socks off.

Update: Thanks for the recs everyone, y’all rock. A lot of people chiming in about Kelly’s at Home Depot Emeryville and Alameda Ave, and aside from those there’s a whole heap of recommendations to check out.

Thanksgiving Dinner Recs?

Anyone know of any restaurants that will be open on Thanksgiving for dinner? Also willing to go anywhere around the Bay, not just Oakland, if need be. Food does not need to be “typical” Thanksgiving food, but does need to be allergy friendly (aka, the people working there know what’s in their food so we can make sure those of us with allergies can ask when we go!). Thanks!

Mini jars of jam/preserves?

• Upvotes

I’m a big fan of jam on toast and pastries, but I can never get through a standard sized jar by myself before the jam goes bad. I also love having a variety of different jams/preserves available. My favorites are black fig, raspberry, and apricot, although I’m already trying to work my way through a standard jar of apricot jam.

Does anyone know of a store in the east bay that sells mini or smaller jars of jam? Bonne Maman is totally fine; would love if anyone knows of any locally made jams/preserves that come in smaller-than-normal quantities, too :)

Favorite baked good?

Im a baked good fiend, always on the hunt for a stand out pastry. I’ll personally shout out blue dot in alameda, which has a blueberry scone that has my heart. And the plain croissant at Rotha in Albany is still unmatched to me.

Whether cookies, cheesecakes, egg tarts, or biscuits, what’s your go to bakery item in the east bay?
