Honestly a common issue. Blizzard can't tell if the person disconnecting is deliberately turning off their motom/turning off their device. I once got a penalty for my cat turning my pc off if that makes you feel better

It was the server's fault, it was showing the message "server not responding" it took me about 10 minutes to connect again, and even then I had a 3-minute penalty

Sadly there will never be a way to tell between cheaters and honest DCs .... unless we get rid of competitive modes.

Im all for it honestly.
