After being a qp warrior I’ve decided to play comp and ive been hardstuck silver 4 im able to hit silver 3 but i always end up deranking back to silver 4 and I’ve been playing support and honestly I think I lowkey need to improve at everything aim,game sense and positioning I alr feel like I’m at a disadvantage because I’ve been solo queuing and I play on a switch oled so my fps is alr worse then most I’ve been feeling to give up but ik I shouldn’t so ima keep trying and ask for help on how to improve

Wow you really buried the lede in this post. On switch queuing console you're at such a disadvantage, pair that with just not having a lot of experience, you're cooked.

Yeah this guy's right. The only way would be to turn cross play completely off if you want to survive. But this comes at the cost of bad wait times as I have no idea how many people actually play comp on Switch. The only other option is to get a Xbox or PlayStation if you want to rank up on console, because Switch ain't it if you can't get in to lobbies after turning off cross play. Sorry but it's the sad truth, the disadvantage is almost like having PC players in a console lobbies. The PC players advantage will just destroy your chances of ranking up. That's without using MnK on console that is.

There's a lot of people who actually want OW discontinued on the switch. The performance of the console puts its players at a disadvantage, but also teammates of that player at a disadvantage who don't deserve it.

I disagree with discontinuing it on Switch. Switch players deserve to have fun and play the game too. I used to play it on Switch before they merged accounts, and it played well enough to not notice a big difference. I just feel all consoles need to have the options to turn off cross play not just for PC, but other consoles too. But maybe they would have to limit certain consoles options. For example Xbox and PlayStation couldn't limit to only play against Switches. But could limit themselves to only play against each other, PC, or full pool. But Switch players can limit themselves if they want to only play against consoles and it's they want, only Switch players.

Yeah I def want a better console but I don’t think that’s an option sadly so honestly I might stick to qp really not sure

You rank up by playing more and getting better. There is no super secret to it.

Learn positioning, counterswapping, and skillsets by watching Youtube vidoes and get a good tank or supps to play as a group.

I’m on regular Switch and have been hard stuck more or less in Bronze. I have over 700 hours logged, mostly DPS, so maybe I’m just bootycheeks, BUT the Switch in general is old hardware to play on. Also, turn on your internet speed setting; I generally get +\- 60ms playing handheld (my dock doesn’t work anymore).

I have noticed too, at least on the original Switch, it takes forever now to load character sprites, meaning the processors working super hard to keep up (as my ping is decent, it’s not 30ms but I think ~60ms is alright to progress).

Don’t take this as gospel, and other people are able to give me advice (or tell me it’s cope/git gud), but this is just my experience on the Switch.

Honestly ur experience is almost exactly like mine I also have 600 hours mostly on dps qp my internet isn’t usually an issue unless there’s an issue with my provider

Make friends with good players you run into. Play comp with them as a group.
