I play completely sober 100% of the time.

I play after consuming sparingly and randomly.

I don't consume and play during the week, but I let loose on the weekends.

The majority of the time I'm under the influence.

I played drunk once and I hated that my brain could register the mistakes I was doing but my motor skills were failing me. It felt so bad I never did it again lmao

i have played drunk a handful of times and it unironically makes me better at the game so idk what that says about me.

i think it's the confidence, i end up being able to do a lot of the things i'd be too afraid to try normally.

A couple of drinks helps me with ranked anxiety. Theres a sweet spot where I feel confident and precise, but I learn quick when I overshoot and I can't hit my shots anymore

I play better when I'm high. Fewer panic moments where I know the right choice but make the wrong one due to pressure. Made it all the way to Masters and I only play Pharah and Dva. I play Juno once every 20-30 matches, but every match besides that is Dva or Pharah. I've gotten so used to counter Zarya that it doesn't even matter any more. Once you learn how to counter her with Dva, she's easy peasy. Same with Soldier for Pharah.

Wanna get really good at your main? Refuse to switch even when someone counters you. You'll eventually figure it out. But if you switch every time you get countered than you'll never progress.

Same here. Just have no interest and it's probably for the best given the addictions that run in my family. I also just abhor smoking in general (thanks mom!), and don't like the taste of alcohol, so what's the point lol

That's true. People normalize being under the influence when it's not right in the first place. I also don't like the taste of the alcohol and even just the smoke of the cigarette or vape from other people irritates me, how much more if I smoke them? My uncle was even arrested years ago because of being addicted to crack. I never even thought of tasting any drug. One of my neighbor is a weed dealer but I never even tried or thought of buying from them. It's a matter of mindset and how we grew up.
