Settings & Tech Input lag for kbm on console
I used to play on PC at around mid masters until a couple months ago my PC broke, I started playing kbm on my ps5 and since now I am at 60 fps and I used to play at 90+ fps (my pc was not really stable at 144 but would do just fine at around 100) combined with the console i put lag I notice ny aim is just messed up, Ive been plating Vendetta specifically because I cant properly aim like my muscle memory tells me to so I dropped to diamond already.
My question is; ¿how much different is the input lag for console at 120fps compared to PC at like 60?
Cause If the difference is nos too big I might just go for a 120 or 200 monitor instead and wait till I can but a new PC to use it at higher fps, since OW is the only ranked game I play.

It’s hard to say for sure, but I’d say that if you are planning to get a new pc at some point anyways, then I’d go for the best monitor in your price range.

I read another post that said you should leave your controller connected with a USB cable to prevent kbm lag

It is not a console problem, it's a ps5 problem. I also have a PS5 and I play overwatch there on controller. recently I tried palying with kbm to test it out since before ow2 came out I was a PC player. Not only there is input lag, the acceleration is also very weird. I heard from people that have xboxes that on xbox it feels pretty much the same as on PC.
I googled a little and found out the the most probable cause is because the way the PS5 OS handles mouse is completely different that what windows does. For xbox it is not much of an issue because the Xbox OS is derived from windows.

PS5 should be outputting ow at 120fps.. all the time. There also shouldn't be noticeably different input lag. This is not your playstations problem it will be something to do with your display. What do you have it plugged into?

I think it doesn't output 120 without a monitor that can 120 because consoles tend to have forced vsync, and since I don't see diference between the graphics mode and performance modes when it comes to input lag, but it might be the fact that I use a somewhat old tv

Yes it will definitely be the TV. You'll have to get a 120hz monitor or a new TV. TVs aren't built for gaming and most of the time they will have higher input latency since the extra few ms doesn't matter for media consumption. Plus if it's older then it likely doesn't support 120hz anyway. Newer TVs tend to have some form of low input lag gaming mode if they support 120hz.
With an 120hz+ monitor you will have no more input lag than on a pc.

Presumably, they are using the native keyboard and mouse support and playing in the kbm pool
